I'm so frustrated...
My usual workout routine consists of 15 min on the bike, 20 min on the ellipitcal trainer, and 20 min on something else. Today I chose the treadmill, which I hardly ever do because I always get blisters on the back of my ankles. I thought it would be fine this time because it's been a while and my shoes have to be broken in after 1.5 years. No such luck. I managed to get through 15 min of it, and the last 5 min I was limping.
I want to be able to last longer on there, but it never fails. What can I do? I have *never* owned a pair of running shoes that did not give me blisters on the back of my ankle/heel. I've shopped for different socks, different shoes, different stores with very personalized service without any luck.
I always thought it would be great to be able to run, and work myself up to a longer workout on the treadmill (or any other machine) but I just can't do it when I'm in pain.
Also, when I'm on the ellipitcal trainer, my feet get pins and needles after about 15 min, and when I'm on the bike, my butt gets pins and needles after about 10 min.
Am I doomed to be out of shape forever? Geez!
Seriously, I need some advice. Any help would be appreciated.
And now, with these giant blisters, I might have to avoid the gym till they heal. :(
