Today I binged on these little asian pears.. I ate like 12.. but actually for like the past 4 days or so I've been binging on peanut butter. :spew: Can't take it anymore.. I'm NEVER eating peanut butter again.. okay well at least not for the next couple of days.

ugh, I just got really stressed out. I think my baby is teething because he was up 2x in the night and has been fussy all day. I FINALLY got him down for a nap and was so stressed, I grabbed a box of peanut butter jo jo cookies (from Trader Joes, they're like Oreos but with pb filling) and ate a bunch of them. I lost count, but probably ate like 8 or 10 or so. UGH...I hate when this happens!

umm i don't consider it binging but sometimes i'll just have an inexplicable craving for something and will just sit and eat it til i'm either full or run out of whatever it is. usually something starchy, chips or crackers etc.

Same here - I've done that w/ baked tortilla chips and salsa but not in a long while. I can do the same thing w/ cookies, however, if I'm baking them. I remember making oatmeal raisin cookies and ending up eating 8-10 cookies in one day I think. And these were thick medium-sized cookies. :worried: This is why when I bake, I give them away quickly (to co-workers, friends, even homeless ppl). That way others enjoy them, and I'm not tempted to binge.

Also, lately, I've noticed my appetite tends to get smaller. So when I had maybe a little more than a serving of dinner (brown rice/veggie mixture and cornbread, for ex.), I was grimacing in pain afterwards cause I was SOO stuffed, so it feels like a binge. Very weird, but maybe thats because I have mini meal throughout the day.

I tend to binge more often when I'm at work...or at least, I'll go for the spontaneous unhealthy choice. I'll work an 8-hour shift and look back only to realize that all I've eaten was garlic bread, ice cream, buttered bread, juice, and green beans. Not very balanced there, though the green beans are justifiable.

*raises fist* The real problem, though, is that in my department, we never get lunch breaks. We have to eat whatever we can find and shovel in our faces as fast as we can, or else we get behind schedule.

I'm in the process of trying to lose the last 10 pounds that I would like to lose. I was stalled at around 162 for several months, so I started doing the McDougall Program (ultra low fat). It's working really well. I'm down to 154 lbs., and that's on the evil (read accurate) scale at the gym. Anyway, since I started the diet, I found that every two weeks, I would get these uncontrollable fat cravings. I would find myself in the kitchen making Mac and Chreese (with lots of Vegan margarine) with veggie burgers crumbled up in it and sauted (in plenty of olive oil) onions and mushrooms mixed up in it, and topped with tomatoes and avocados. Once I was done fixing it, I would usually end up eating pretty nearly the whole thing. Afterwards, of course, I feel super sluggish and have to take a nap.

After eating this obnoxious gut bomb twice in a month, I finally decided that I would be better off if I started adding a little more fat to my every day diet. So far so good.

Hehe. Me too. Ice cream, definetely. Boxes of cookies. Pies. Anything sweet and rich.

Muffins, too. I'll sit there and eat a million muffins in succession. Hence I try to only buy one or two at a time.

One night I ate a whole box of crackers, for some reason. I thought that was odd... I mean, a bag of potato chips, yea, that's tasty. But the crackers weren't tasty. I just wanted to put things in my mouth.

I wasn't aware that peanut butter was something I shouldn't eat...

Anyway I overload on carbs - the other day I ate a rice cake, 7 pancakes, a serving of pasta and a peice of garlic bread.

geez, most of you guys binge on food that is way too healthy. What I binge on most is beer. Dark beer too, which is really high in empty calories. I usually use these pints to wash down french fries or nachos, or something deep-fried.
Sometimes I'll eat an entire giant bag of salt and vinegar chips, then my lips will swell up so I'll soothe them with ice cream.
It's amazing I don't weigh 250 pounds.

I'm suprised I'm not huge, as well. I pig out on cookies, chips, pizza ... basically anything salty or sweet. Sweet is much more dangerous ;) Half a pizza or a dozen cookies is no problem for this belly.
