View Full Version : Kinda makes you wonder....

Has anyone wondered about who puts labels on girl products?
For one thing, why do they label tampons in grams absorbed? Who the heck knows?? Do you measure periodically to see how many grams of liquid you've leaked?
On Kotex wrappers, they give you what they call "Tips for Life" but I've only ever seen three tips: 1. Drink water 2. Eat fruits&veggies 3. Buy Kotex
Thats it?? life is THAT easy??
Why do we call "pubic region" the "bikini area." MOST bikinis I've seen consist of two parts, a top, and a bottom. If you're shaving or waxing your bikini area, shouldn't you also shave or wax your boobs?
And finally...
Amazon.com recently opened a health and beauty aids section so I was buying assorted bookage, and decided to check it out cause my sister and I can never find light tampons in the store, and thats what we both use most. So they had 'em, but in reading the page I realized, amazon really needs to change their options on health/beauty aids. (See picture)
Has anyone else picked up on anything odd?

They sell tampons on the internet? I don't know.. I have always had a problem with tampon and pad commercials. Too much personal information. Thats just my opinion.

 Fortunately, it looks like you can't buy any used condoms. Oh well. Let's hope it's the same for the tampons.

i've always found it odd that they advertise for tampons and such anyway. it's not like they need to remind us that we need them!

There's a "buy it used" option on the right of the screen.

I recently participated in a marketing research study on menstrual pads. There were lots of "Strongly agree...Strongly disagree" questions like "The product fits my lifestyle." I was ok with that stuff, but then I read "The product makes me feel feminine." Huh? Do maxi-pads make you feel feminine?

I hate those sort of questions!!
Yea it fits my lifestyle if I'm bleeding and don't want to bleed all over myself?? How do you answer that?
I don't think I'd feel feminine with a pad on. I tend to associate feeing feminine with feeing sort of sensual.. like pretty, attractive in some way, done up. I don't associate self adhesive diapers with this feeling.

When I had a period, it was so heavy, that the only thing that never leaked was o.b. super plus. not once. :)

i have two noticeable (long, dark, thick, unlike the normal body hair that is all over and not really noticeable) hairs on each nipple :(. i normally pull them out because they bother me, even though noone really sees my nipples and i wouldn't even pluck my eyebrows. they haven't been there that long, i guess maybe 1.5-2 years now. am i the only one? :worried:

aww c'mon
BE PROUD OF IT
not a lot of people can grow hair on their nipples
like i'm proud of my hair on big toes, i know it might seem a little gross but i find it more funny ..... and even show it off sometimes

i have a few hairs on my big toes, but you can only see them easily when they're shining in the sun. everyone has them, don't they???
i'm not even super hairy!

I think I'm going to try this as a living philosophy. It sounds so simple.

Crap, okay, I'll out myself. I have a few hairs...have since puberty. I just sort of go over them with a razor every now and again. No big deal.
