Tortillas

so....what are the best vegab brands. I am sick of cooking them.

Most tortillas you would buy in the grocery are made with canola or soybean oil. I know Whole Foods has got a bunch of tortillas (fat free, flour, corn, red pepper...etc.) like 6 for 99 cents

I like Wild Oats brand mexican red chile wheat tortillas. :up: They are organic.

but freshly cooked tortillas are the best!

I usually get flour tortillas and roll in something good to make a wrap :)

However, I just bought some ww tortillas :drool: , so yeah, this will be even better. I'm sure homemade tortillas are great as well!

I wish that I had a wild oats around here...all of the tortillas where I live are fatty and contain mono and diglycerides.

A lot of people don't live in easy difference from a Wild Oats either.

yeah, ive always made them before, but i need quicker meals lately. Thanks you guys! And i have never heard of Wild Oats and my sorry but has to go to Walnut Creek or Berkely to get to Whole Foods

You might try hunting the net for a local (to you) tortilla manufacturer. There are several around here that make vegan ones - preservative free.

You could also make a bunch ahead of time and freeze them. If cheap is an operative word for you here, you're not going to do better than making them yourself.
