Hi girls,
Just wondering, could the hormones in dairy and meat cause me to have a hormone imbalance? How greatly can these hormones affect us?
Thanks!

Depends on what country you are from, as some countries don't allow growth hormones.

yes--America does. it is my opinion that the hormones in beef, and milk are MAJOR contributing factors in the reason why puberty is starting soooo early. my 2 cents!!

I'm confused by this post. Why would you be worried about hormones in meat if you're a vegetarian?
And if you don't like the fact that there may be stress-causing or hormonal-imbalance-inflicting hormones in cow milk, then why not just drink rice milk, soy milk, or oat milk? They taste so much better.

Try a google search.
I found this:
http://www.drweil.com/app/cda/drw_cda.html-command=TodayQA-questionId=71087
which says that hormone residues in meat can increase the risk of breast and other cancers of the reproductive systems.
Another problem with meat and dairy is the overuse of antibiotics, which may be adding to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria (superbugs) which is very ecoming dangerous. I believe that over half of all antibiotics used in the US are fed to livestock.
