It's incredible. I admit I haven't had cow ice cream in like three years, but this really tastes like the "real" thing to me. I got the cherry chocolate flavor, and it beats Soy Delicious, which I have loved, hands down.

The Portland WFM is finally stocking it, and in tons of flavors. I want to try every single one...but I will have to watch it, as that may be hard on my wallet, not to mention my belly.

Try it if you can find it!

We're a Soy Cream household as well. If you can get your hands on the cinnamon caramel flavor, eat that next! Cinnamon caramel goodness

So where can I find this?

how does it compare to Vanilla Fudge Tofutti? That's my favourite stuff so far.

Tofutti is like way down on the list of good things. Mmmmmm, I can't wait to try Soy Cream someday.

How much does it cost? Is it another one of those 3 dollars a pint deals? I can't convince myself to pay that much when regular icecream costs like 3 bucks for a half gallon. Not that i eat regular icecream anymore, but the idea of paying that much is whacky to me.

I think it averages around $2.69 for a pint at my local Whole Foods. It is a premium soy cream, so it is rich and dense like Ben and Jerry's. Those regular ice creams that are so cheap have air whipped into them, so it's really about the same amount of ice cream, just more volume. :)

It's not a bad deal if you can restrain yourself from eating an entire pint in one sitting.

know how much it is for 500 ml of Soy Delicious here? (we don't do things in pints, quarts, gallons etc. here). It's $5. Five frigging dollars for two cups of ice cream.

Hehe, you make it sound so good, I don't think anyone can restrain themselves from eating the entire pint in one sitting :p

I would so love to try this, but after spending over $50 at Whole Foods over 4 days for like, 10 items, I've put a limit on to how many vegan substitutes I'm going to buy each month :(

Wow! Ok, in that case, I probably wouldn't buy it. That's just crazy!

I think Whole Foods is having a sale right now, 2 pints of SD for 4 dollars American. I have no idea what the conversion is :(

ETA: it actually wasn't that much, considering about 15 dollars was buying deodorant stones for the family, 12 dollars was buying special bread for my dad and 10 dollars was for a bucket sized thing of nut. yeast.

Oh! and I think the reason a lot of ice cream is on sale is because either June or July is national ice cream month. For any lacto-veggies out there, if you've ever heard of COld Stone Creamery (I work there) they are giving out free ice cream cake on the 29th of July! Line up early!

I'm actually pretty good at restraining myself as regards ice cream, so I still have 3/4 of a pint sitting in my freezer. I think it was $2.59 here as well. Small price to pay for a week's worth of satisfaction!

I'm going on Eat to Live next week, though, so Soy Cream will have to be a rare treat for me.

Tiffany, I buy my pints at the location on the corner of Fairfax and Santa Monica. I'm sure 3rd and Fairfax has it, too. They're larger than the other store.

er, What's Eat to Live? It sounds like something for world hunger, perhaps? like only eating foods to keep you going, no gourment stuff..?
