I don't know how widespread Aldi's stores are...but they are carrying soymilk now!! I tried it a while ago and I love their original, I actually think I like it better then Silk (that's what I drank before)...and it's like $0.70 cheaper!!

Aldi's in Australia carry thier own brand of soy milk, too. It's very cheap and tastes quite good, but it's made from soy protien isolate, rather than whole beans. I tend to like the whole bean stuff, myself.

Very cool to see so many stores now making their own generic brands of soy milk. The stuff is catching on. : )

Yeah, thats awesome! Aldi is a store with lots of cheap items, to a degree, and so I think it is a really positive step for veg*ism that more veggie friendly products are becoming available at all economic levels as well as being carried by more places. I also read somewhere that Wal Mart has their own brand...
If only someone would decide to make a better soy yogurt.

Does this make it less healthy? I have no idea so I'm just wondering?

is it vegan?

Yes, it is vegan. Whole bean is supposed to be healthier, but I really prefer it because it has a slightly nuttier taste.

I love soymilk, and I LOVE ALDI'S! If they are selling it now I'll go out of my way to get it from there. It's just hard b/c their hours and my work schedule are similar, so it's so hard to get there:(
Great news though!

The ingredient list on the original one that I have is as follows:

filtered water, whole organic soybeans, evaporated organic cane juice, natural flavors, calcium carbonate, sodium citrate, potassium citrate, sea salt, carrageenan, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D2, vitamin E, vitamin B2, vitamin B12, zinc sulfate

Hmm...I'm a bit confused because it says "whole organic soybeans" under the ingredients...help!!! Hey...I just thought that maybe it could be different in Australia! Just a thought! Do you know if it is labled by "Friendly Farms"?

No, it's not Friendly Farms. Next time I buy it I'll have a look.

I'm bumping this thread because we've been buying soy milk at ALDI. It's labeled "Friendly Farms" (their store brand) and it's $1.39 for one quart of regular or chocolate.

I've been buying aldi's soymilk for a few weeks now. Not bad at all especially for the price. My store carries original, vanilla and chocolate.

Really? Are you sure about it because I thought it is an organic product.
