Just tried these tonight, and they were delicious! (and vegan too)

yeah, they're pretty good.

though, umm, strangely, when i've eaten them, i seem to always kind of throw up just a little soon afterward. it's really weird.

I tend to like them, too. I picked up their sweet and sour, uh, strips at the supermarket last night. I didn't think to look at the price. The prices at Ralphs are so much higher than Whole Foods! I hope that it's good, because it set me back about $4.59.

I'd like to know what you think of the sweet 'n' sour stuff, epski. I keep picking up the box and then putting it back down again. I'm usually game to try anything vegan, but they just look so spongy I'm a little put off.

hmm..I've never saw the sweet and sour ones (I might have to go to whole foods for this) Let us know what you think about em, epski. :)

I thought the sweet and sour pork was pretty tasty, but it was pretty much a riblet with a different sauce. I <3 riblets!

Me and a friend were just talking about the goodness of riblets today. Too bad Gardenburger isn't organic.

Yeah, the riblets can look kinda spongy from the outside, too, but the S&S "looks" more spongy on the box, so I understand the reticence.

I think I'm having it tomorrow night, with squash and zucchini on the side, and some basmati rice pilaf with almond slivers. I'll have to figure out what herbs to toss in to the pilaf. Any suggestions from "experts"?

I'll post in a new thread, to avoid taking this one off topic. :)

That I can handle. I might have to get some of that sweet and sour "pork" now.

The riblets are delicious, I agree. If you have a Trader Joes store in your area, they sell for only $2.69 there. That's about $1 cheaper than most places.

WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!! I love them. Mouse made them with her homemade kraut and vegan mashed tatters for dinner last week. Its the first time Ive had them. But it wont be the last. Betcha you could pass them off as ribs to an unsuspecting meaty and they wouldnt know the difference....YUM!

Mmmmm....I just had one for dinner, yum! My local grocery discontinued Gardenburger not to long ago and it really made me mad! I e-mailed the corporate headquarters and believe it or not got a response back from customer service...heck, not only a response but action. Two weeks after I e-mailed them with my complaint Gardenburger was back in my store. I am still surprised...just because of little ol me....I think I will have to start complaining more often :D
