Anybody know of any good not-too-strong, water-soluble, non-animal types of glue that can be used on paper, wood, or plastic? "hard" glues (krazy glue, epoxy, etc.) will melt some plastics, I just discovered the hard way.

Weird question I know, but I can just imagine the stares I would get if I asked this one at my local hardware store.

Elmer's is vegan. Hard to believe, but true.

You would have a hard time finding glue made of animals in the store nowadays. Animal glue just isn't as good, that's why most glue is vegan now.

From the Elmer's site:
http://www.elmers.com/faq/index.asp

I wrote them many moons ago about this, as I was transitioning to veganism, since I use a LOT of glue in my job. They stated that Elmer's at one time, WAS made from animal products, but has long been (they didn't say how long) made with synthetic ingredients.

Check again. Grayslake has a few, but look around.
