Product review of Amy's No Chicken Chicken Noodle Soup (or whatever its called). Dear god... could the noodles be any more mushy? I like that there are veggies in it, and the protein content and such isn't bad considering its just soup. But does not hit the craving WHATSOEVER. I'm distracting myself while eating it just to get it down. Not something I would repurchase again. I've not had any type of meat in over 5-6 years and this still is soo far from what I wanted that... kitty treat maybe?
However, Amy's soups aren't all bad. I love love love the Lentil and Lentil Veg (especially the Lentil veg). I have the Butternut and the Blackbean soups sitting in the cupboard, which I am hoping will taste much better than this one.
If all else fails, forgo buying the soup, get fake chicken stock, throw in whatever you want - and hopefully it'll turn out better than this?

The butternut squash one is to die for. I'm totally addicted to it. Much better than the other ones.

I've found several of the varieties to be good, but not great. (nice to take to work for a quick lunch.) However, the chili is to die for! :lick: Yum.

They are $3.50 Canadian here, so I don't normally buy them. I bought a few cans as a treat when we went down to the relatives and I didn't know what I was going to eat... in the end I generally veggie-ized whatever they were eating and didn't get a chance to try any of the soup, which got LEFT THERE. In MANITOBA. That's like 3 days of straight driving. And I bet they don't even eat it on the grounds that it's "Gross and Vegetarian." Arrrgh.

They're $3 Cdn. here, so I rarely buy them. I've tried a few flavours and I haven't really liked any of them.

I loooove the No Chicken Noodles one.
For minestrone I prefer the Trader Joe's low-fat one.
