Thanks for the compliments, I'm pretty proud of them - they are my little vegan representatives! You should hear my 4 year old lecture people about eating meat! She is by far the most outspoken and passionate of us all!

I love seeing all the veggie kids, there is just something so sweet and peaceful about seeing veg kids :)

Danny - The balls were pooped later that day! I turned around to see both kids sitting in their carseats soaked in the liquid from the balls that they BIT through!

Rincaro - Your boys are so adorable!! They look like they are really close - sometimes I wish I could have 2 more kids so I could give Kyle a brother and Katie a sister :) I think there is a special closeness in same gender siblings. :)

Kreeli - What cutie pies!! Your son is so gorgeous - he's going to have the girls calling soon!! Your little girl is so beautiful, I love her pink cheeks - What is that they are holding up to the camera?

thulcandra - What an angel! She is just beautiful! That is a hilarious shirt idea - did you come up with that or see it somewhere? My kids have the "Kiss, Kiss, Eat, Eat" shirts that have arrows pointing to animals saying "Kiss", and arrows pointing to veggies saying "Eat" My daughter always wants to wear hers all the time - I swear she is my little activist! Is that a mosiac tile wall behind your daughter in the first picture? It looks really cool! Hey, do you mind if I ask, how did you post a pic right into the body of your message like that?

Take care,
Christine :)

How do you guys cope with your kids wanting to "preach" to other kids? Now that my son (who is 5 & very sensitive) has made the dead animal connection, he wants to make sure everyone knows!

Look at that pretty blonde hair. She's a cutie thulcandra.

Funny you say that formerbaboon. *Everyone* says that. But the boys are not his biologically speaking. They're his boys in every other sense though. He's such a good dad to them. (Their real dad alas, doesn't know what he's missing).

How funny! He does resemble him though. He looks like such a good guy.

Urban Foragers. I like that! Our big new exciting is all the farmer's markets here in Jax. The boys love it. Plus when they pick out new stuff, they are more likely to try it.

I found it on electrictofu.com but I just checked and there doesn't seem to be anything there now. Grr.

That sounds like the cutest little shirt - do you remember where you got it, or did you make it?

About the wall: yep, we spent about 130 hours breaking and setting the tile, and grouting - the wall is about 16' x 8', so it was quite a process. As soon as we finished it, my wife decided she wanted to sell the house. So we'lll have to do it all over again...

I see the pics are now links. I really don't know how they posted directly in the first place.

Here's Desi. She's a new vegetarian! She's my aspiring movie star! I had her as an avatar not so long ago. I think at the beginning of the year. She's my stepdaughter. I've help raise her since she was 4. She'll be 11 in a few months.

Great pics! And it is unanimous - every VBer child is so much more normal looking than the freak show that gets pasted on the front page of VS.

(Michael - just forward the hate mail directly to me.) :tame:

Y'all have the most adorable kids! If you ever get tired of them and want them to take a vacation, send them to my house for a week or two or ten.

But he's my veggie boy, Brody. This was taken yesterday at my mom's who was being so cool. She cooked two meals, one for Brody and me, and one for her and my 9 yo daughter (who eats veggie here at the house, but is allowed to make her own choices outside the home.

They're all such adorable, healthy-looking kids. I don't have kids but I remember years ago when I used to baby sit a little girl 40+ hours a week, a friend's mom told me I wasn't feeding her right because she looked pasty and had dark circles under her eyes. She said kids weren't cut out to be vegetarian and I was making the kid unhealthy. I told her I didn't pick what foods the girl ate - I fed her what her parents left for her. If she wanted to try my food I let her but she mainly ate what they brought for her. So if she didn't look healthy, it was the typical American diet and probably all the cigarette smoke at home that had her looking that way. Since said woman ate the typical American diet herself and her beloved son (my friend) was a smoker, she dropped her argument right away.

Anyway, these little cuties are just more proof that veggie babies = healthy babies.

Awww, all of your children are adorable!!

Why weren't my parents veggie? It took me over 18 years to figure it out!

My goodness! Could these kids be any cuter? :) I too have had some people really question how my kids get calcium etc. Calcium seems to be the biggest concern though, most people just have no idea that you can get calcium from places other than milk-it's just amazing what the propaganda out there has done.

My daughter is veggie, going on vegan and she is very firm about what she will/won't eat. It is amazing and makes me so proud too to hear her stand up for what she believes.

(I can't figure out how to post a pic on here but when I do I'll post one of my little cuties!)

LOL, Hmm... there may be some matchmaking in our futures  You've got some handsome little men there! I think it will be hard for my little girl to find a good vegan man when she starts dating (they are few and far between!) Maybe I should post a personal ad, " Beautiful, brilliant, compassionate, affectionate vegan female looking for same qualities in partner - can start dating in about, wait let me ask dad,.....about 39 years :p All potential suitors, send picture and resume to my mom and dad for aproval" LOL!

Where do you live? We are in Texas (good luck finding a vegan guy here!), but will be moving to California next year!!!!! Real vegan restuarants, people who know what "vegan" IS - I can't wait! :hamster:

Me! Cissy if you were in Jax, I'd hire you in an instant. That's our next big thing - to find a sitter so we can actually go out once in a while. :)
