I just sent my local Wegman's an e-mail about carrying the Yves "chicken" nuggets and this is the response I received today:
Thank you for taking the time to email us regarding the Yves veggie chicken nuggets. I do
apologize that it has taken us so long to respond. We are hearing from our distributor that this
item is being discontinued by the vendor.
Thank you,
Cathy
Does this mean that Yves is stopping them or a different company that Wegman's goes through or what? I'm so disappointed!

Come to think of it... I haven't seen them in a long time here, either. Quite likely Yves is discontinuing them. Or maybe they just weren't big sellers at my local store?

I *have* recently seen the Yves Chicken Patties in the grocery. So you might be in luck.

I just looked these up on the Yves' website and saw that they are the non-breaded type! :( They look very much like the Gardenburger Chick'n Griller (or whatever it's called)...and those were very, very disgusting IMO. Have you tried the Chicken Burgers by Yves' before? How are they and do you know how they compare to Gardenburger's?

Huh, I thought the garden burger chick'n grill things were pretty good in small quantities. They're sort of lemony tasting. I like them with ketchup. And my friend loves them on their own . . .

OK, a little off subject :-/ , but did you know the grill-ready smart dogs may not be vegan.
I found this article online and it states:
Although standard Lightlife Smart Dogs are
vegan, the new "Grill Ready" Smart Dogs
and "Grill Ready" Bratwurst contain egg whites.
The company claims that the only way
to obtain the proper texture for these foods
is to use either wheat gluten or egg whites,
and that using either is "controversial."
Sorry for the slight change of sybject and if I'm late on this info.

I never tried Gardenburger, so I have no comparison. But I think the Yves chicken patties were decent. Long as you use enough soy mayo as a condiment. :)

Hmm, I think that Gardenburger makes Vegan Chicken
Nuggets but I have not seen them.

It looks like they are only foodservice. Dang.
You can make tofu chicken nuggets, they
are really good. http://www.vegsource.com/talk/recipes/messages/52621.html

The Health & Wealth ones are the best, they are far from gross. Trader Joes also offers soy nuggets which are gmo-free and vegan.
