Ok, so I don't watch the show on a regular basis, but I thought I'd watch the final episode. I seem to remember the last time I saw it that Rachel and Ross had a baby, yet in this episode Rachel was planning on moving to Paris and Ross was staying in NY and there was no baby in sight or even mentioned through the whole episode, even after Rachel decided to stay. Did they throw the baby away? Could this just have been an enormous oversight on the writers' part? Maybe someone who watches the show all the time can explain...
As an aside, I also noticed that Monica and Chandler had no problem just leaving their twin newborns in their apartment alone.
I mean, I know the show's never exactly been realistic, but this just all seemed really wierd...

Well, I hate being the dork but, I saw it twice. My DH is addicted to the show. I was home at 9 30 a saw that then saw it again when my DH got up from a nap. Yes, it was kinda weird with the children but, I have not seen "Ben" on the show in a while. They said Emma, Rachel's baby was with her mother and Monica had a baby walky talky thing when she was in Joey's place. It was a little strange but, they apparently needed to get it done in one show. Sorry for people who have not seen it yet!

Ever since Rachel said she was moving to Paris, Ross seemed to care less that his daughter was leaving, too. Rachel's mother was supposed to bring Emma to Paris after she was there for a couple of days; why wouldn't Ross, her father, take her???? A few other things bugged me about the last show:
It was SO stupid that Erica didn't know she was having twins. Give me a break! And I find it hard to believe they would let you take a baby home that same day.
When Chandler & Monica walked into the apartment with 2 babies instead of 1, no one even questioned it. They were surprised, but didn't even ask what happened.
How did Ross & Phoebe know that Rachel's first flight got cancelled? If they didn't know, why would they have bothered going to another airport that's an hour away knowing her flight was leaving that moment?
That being said, I was a bit sad to see it end. But part of me is glad that now I have one less show to watch.

A lot of city hospitals send you home the same day now.....

I quit watching that show long ago. Not too long after Seinfeld went off the air. Once they started having everyone sleep with everyone else I lost interest.
Plus I get sick of the "we're friends in real life" crap. Well no $h*t. If I were making $25 million a year I'd get along great with my co-workers too.

It was fun. Most of the questions were dealt with, except Ross's odd lack of remorse at seeing Emma go. Kinda moot now, though, ain't it? I mean, that guy's a horrible father anyway. When's the last time we saw either of his kids? :p

Okay, I have a question. Please help meeeeee...
You know the clip show that aired prior to the finale? Normally I'm not crazy about clip shows but I haven't really followed Friends this season so I watched it while I waited for the finale to air. During the clip show, they had a montage of all the weddings that had taken place during the series, and a sort of rock-ballad played during it. I know I've heard it before, maybe on the radio, and I like the song quite a bit, but I don't know who the artist is.
All I know is that the singer was male, it was aired during the wedding montage, and I can't recall enough of the lyrics to google it.
Does anyone know? Maybe someone TIVOed it?

if you remember, phoebe called and said that she thought something was wrong with the right phalange (even tho thats a bone in your finger) and rachel said it out loud. the passenger next to her decided to get off the plane because he didn't want to fly on a plane where the phalange is broken...meanwhile the everybody on the plane got off...it didnt get cancelled..it got postponed because phoebe was trying to stall it from taking off. and rachel was on the plane when phoebe called, which was good timing, and ross was in love, people (on sitcoms) will do anything for love

<<<was hoping for better. And, yeah, Ep, what was WITH that whole "I won't be able to see Rachel everyday" speech? Hellooooo, what about your daughter?
My gal pals and I have been getting together and watching for well, years. We got hooked with the death of Mr. Heckles, Eddie the freaky roommate and the competition to win the apartment....great gags long since gone. We hoped that after suffering through the "Crazy Ross" phase and the whole ridiculous "Joey loves Rachel loves Joey..." stupidity, we might see a glimpse of Friends' former self. Ah well, it's not an entry for the Finale Hall of Fame, but at least it's over. :)

Ok, I'm glad I'm not insane and hallucinated the whole Ross and Rachel baby thing. In light of that, I thought it was pretty lame as finales go...
