Are the Herbivore t-shirt designs like the do-it-yourself iron-ons in quality? What method do they use to get the designs on the shirts? Thanks. :)

I have the "Praise Seitan" shirt and it's high quality. There are a bunch of cheap methods for printing white shirts (like the iron-ons you mentioned) but there's really no cheap way to print black shirts. I don't know much about it, but I'm guessing they use the standard silk-screening method. In any case, it's the quality you would expect, good stuff.

I recently got the "milk is murder" shirt. It's a basic silk-screen. The shirts run extremely small though, so order up a size.

Received a reply from Josh of Herbivore today. Thanks for the replies, Tommy and Quizeen. Nice to know their stuff is of good quality.
hey [PixieMagic],
thanks for the note and your interest in our stuff. i can say with full confidence that the designs on our shirts will never come off. we screenprint them and they get heat-set at a really high temperature so the ink is on there for life. some of mine are two years old and still look pretty much just like they did when i printed em.
i know the type of iron on stuff you're talking about and it's awful. ours aren't that!
let me know what you're interested in or if you have any other questions.

Sure there are! You can buy opaque (sp) heatpress or iron on... It's easy/cheap. :D

For black? Well I've heard of the method where you print a layer of white, and then print color over that, but then you have a big white square unless the image is also square. I think I heard that it's not as flexible or something. Anyway, I don't know much about this stuff.
