I'm just curious how many of you wear these name brands. Feel free to give your opinions on them.

No, I don't wear either of those brands and while I might wear Adidas, I would never wear Nike. I wear New Balance running shoes (I also like Saucony).

Adidas was bought by Nike, correct?
Anyways, I've bought both brands in the past, and I've bought Adidas canvas shoes once since going vegan, but normally, no I wouldn't buy either brand. Mainly because they're too expensive.
I just bought two pairs of shoes today from Payless Shoesource together for $35, no leather or suede, and all man-made materials. One pair of tennis shoes ($15) and one pair of hiking shoes ($20). They usually last as long as any pair of Nike's I used to buy so why spend the extra money.

I found a pair of near-new Nikes in my size the other day. My neighbour threw them out when she moved. I grabbed them, but haven't worn them yet... I'd feel pretty funny... I hate Nike.

I wear nike's, just becasue I haven't bought running shoes in a while and nike's fit me like a glove. I can order them online or in the store and I don't even have to try them on, they jsut fit. But I am trying to ween myself from them. I like that they use lots of synthetic materials instead of leather, but the whole slave-labor thing is a bit offputting

New Balance because they are a straight last shoe and they best fit the shape of my feet.

My last athletic shoe purchase was Nike. That was because they were the most comfortable shoe I tried on. I try to buy New Balance, but they just weren't as comfortable. I have problem feet, so I try not to buy shoes that might aggravate them.

Adidas, only because I still have some indoor soccer shoes from high school that I still wear on occasion. I don't buy leather shoes anymore if I can help it. I love my big, fluffy Adidas sweatshirt too. :)

I have some nike workout clothing... but no nike or adidas shoes. I wear new balance.
Edit: Actually I have some adidas soccer cleats... but they're all man-made materials. I don't really mind the brand as long as the product i'm buying is non-animal.

Nike are notorious for their sweatshop practices. I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair. I prefer my clothing and shoes to be made by adults who get proper pay.

i usually buy adidas because they fit my feet better.

I have Adidas running shoes, and not only do they look SO COOL (they are completely ) fuschia but they are extremely comfortable too!
I got shoes like this (cept converse) http://thestore.adidas.com/q204-live/a0466_382546_1.jpg ages ago, they are starting to get munted though, does anyone know of any brands that make shoes like that not in leather?
I also have 2 pairs of converse chuck-taylors, I don't think I'd buy any now though, so I hope they last for ages.. Haha

I used to wear Nike but after I found out about the sweatshops, no more for me. Then someone told me that Addias have football cleats made of baby kanaroo skin for David Beckham. So I don't wear Addias either, New Balance is great and they're the only kind that fit my huge feet.

Well...I might have somethithing branded with their insignias (honestly--what isn't??) but I don't make it a point to wear they're stuff.
Like msBunnicula said, Saucony and New Balance make much better shoes that aren't made in sweatshops and cost half of your life to buy!!

I don't like saying "never," but that option was the only one close to my leanings in that poll.
Last pair of shoes I bought was from Payless Shoesource. Before that, I bought a pair for me and two pairs for my wife from MooShoes. Seems like there's enough vegan options out there to suit me without resorting to overly-expensive leather shoes.
