I am doing a report on factory farming for school and I was looking for info about the exact percentages of pollution that would be reduced by adopting a vegan lifestyle. If any can help by directing me to some source material I would greatly appreciat it.

My email is

Thanks

Joshua

I know that you can get 2000 calories/year out of 1 square meter of land with plant foods but only 200 calories/year with animal foods. I don't know about the pollution, but talking about an ecological pyramid and being a primary as opposed to a secondary consumer can't hurt, right?

We're talking pollution like waste lagoons and the like. There's data out there on it, but it'll require some digging. I'm with Marie, you're gonna have to dig yourself!

Of course, if anyone else here has those stats on hand, jump in would ya?

I know some people don't like them, but PETA has some info on this, take it or leave it as you see fit. Here's a couple pages, I'll leave it to you to read and pick them out yourself :p
