Wondering what others post high school aspirations are. I'm talking in the two years or so afterwards.

I'm hoping to go to the occupied territories of Palestine with the ISM (International Solidarity Movement). I've been planning on that since last year after Rachel Corrie was crushed to death by an Israeli terrorist in an armored bulldozer. The resiliance of the Palestinian people, who live daily under the occupation but still keep their heads up high, are amazing.

Afterwards, I'm hoping to go into a pre-vet program. I really want to study overseas. I've heard the University of Dublin has a pretty good vet program, so the last four years I'm hoping to go there.

Uh hopefully I can go to some good university (Georgetown or Saint Johns (I'm Not Catholic)) Then work for the UN world food programme. The UN things more like a far off fantasy so probaly just be some stupid US History teacher or maybe a proffesor. As Gore Vidal said about teaching "Hey it's better than working".

I'm planning on going to either the Indiana, Michigan, or North Texas to double-major in musicology and vocal performance... I'll go on to grad school and I hope to ultimately perform and then perform while teaching at a university. I want my own studio... :)

I want to go to poly-tech and do a batchelor in communications for Radio Broadcastings...
Only 20 people get in each year though, so I guess I should come up with a back-up...

I want to be a primary school teacher, though I have to wait to get into Uni as a non-school leaver, because I'm not getting a UAI.

I'm presently studying history. I hope to be lucky enough to get into a research position. Apart from writing things related to history, I'd also like to write at least some fiction at some point.

...I'd also like to write at least some fiction at some point.

I'm still working on my fiction-writing prowess, but, like you, I would like to do at least some degree of writing in the future.

I want to go to a good college for undergrad and get a degree in biochemistry (yes, I'm one of those math and science nerds), then continue on and get my MD or PhD. I would love to spend a semester or summer in Spain or England, or really anywhere abroad that speaks English or Spanish. If I do get my MD, I'd like to spend a year or two in a third-world-Spanish-speaking country and service free medical care... There's a program called Doctors Without Borders that solicitates it.
In the meantime, I've been working really hard in school, volunteering at a science museum, and I just applied for an internship working with my local hospital's medical center.

I have no definate plans for when i leave next year. In an ideal world i'd go and follow my dreams, but since when was this world ideal? so if my grades work out okay this year and i carry on next year then i'll probably end up in uni doing something i hate but have to do to "get somewhere in life" as for what course, it'll either be business related, possilby economics or marketing, or media related, or if i get the chance, something design related.

Or if i do decide to do what i want, then i'll work for a few years in a boring dead end job, earn enough money to go travelling and do some voluntry work come back, work in a boring dead end job for a while to earn enough capital to help start my own business and live happily ever after.

Either way at the end of it i'll work for myself, and be happy :D

Good luck, Vetinary is pretty difficult to get into over here as it is, so i'd assume it'd be near impossilbe for a foriegn student, you'd need 100% perfect grades.

I really want to go to NYU--however, it's expensive and I doubt that my grades are good enough. I will go to college though; I'm thinking that no matter what college i go to, I'll end up doing the same thing so it really doesn't matter all that much. I'm thinking that I want to be a high school english teacher, and do writing on the side. I don't want to do that for my entire life though. I'll be a kind of a...job-drifter, if you will. I hope to do lots of traveling and living-on-my-wits type stuff; i want some adventure!

I'm already 2 years out of high school... I'm in fine arts at Mount Allison University. I have 1 day left of classes and I am stressed! A lot! Erg... anybody who says fine arts students don't work obviously, um, aren't fine arts students.

In the next two years I'm planning on finishing up my degree and then taking a year of 3D animation at Sheridan College. Then hopefully I'll break into the game/film industry, eventually get into props/costume/minature/concept design and then win an Oscar :D Yeah, I have it all figured out. *crosses fingers*

ELF = the Earth Liberation Front. Action against those who destroy the sacred enviornments, I.E. the old-growth forests. (ELF members are referred to as "Elves") Example of stuff they do...

Developer weasels his way into logging that land, builds mansions. Wait till those mansions are near done, then at night once all the workers are gone so they're not injured or killed, you pour gas on those mansions and burn 'em down. Some people say they're terrorists, I see it as no different then like other groups going to nuclear missile silos and pounding the silo covers with hammers.

ALF = the Animal Liberation Front. They're the ELF's sister organization that concentrates on animal rights.

I'm heading to college next year to study audiology/speech pathology. I'm gonna be in school for 6-8 years. I feel overwhelmed already.

I feel your pain. I'm planning to go into college to eventually get my DVM degree, and it's eight years of school. So I'll have a ton of student loans to pay off. I'd like to, after a few years of experience after school, start my own office up, buy that of course always depends on what the income is... :dizzy:

I have no idea what I want to do specifically with my life, but I'm going to college next year (well, this year actually, this september). I have to pick between New York University and Boston University. BU gave me a free ride, and NYU gave me $30k a year (but it costs $40k), so it seems like the obvious choice is BU, yet I just really love NYU. So I don't know. I'm pretty sure that I'll be going to graduate school, also.
