Okay, this has probably been addressed before but...
I would like to get some chewable vitamins for my kids w/NO coloring or sugar. Are there any??? I also would like them to be very complete...ie, all essential minerals etc. I want them to be vegetarian (jeeze, do I have any more to request..haha)
--
OT...my kids DO NOT like meat. It is so funny...they will spit it out and eat my faux meat (if I am having some, I usually just go the tofu and veggies route) -- that incites a panic in my omni family! Haha!!
Also, my son found a picture of a monkey fishing (I think it was teaching that fishing is okay?? sick...) and he asked me what he was doing. I explained to him that he was fishing for food. I asked him if he would like to do that to our pet fish (which I KNOW he would say no to..) and he said "No mommy" - I said, well..there are people who eat fish for fun..and they catch the fish for fun too (poor little guy...I told him nicely and not to scare him though--I never think he will fish!)
He also told me...mommy...cows milk is for little baby cows, right? I have a VEGAN IN TRAINING!!!

My son has vitamins from Whole Foods that he LOVES. Every day he asks for one first thing in the morning. They are chewable and I think they only have 1 gram of sugar. I can't remember the name but they are in the kids vitamin section and they have a kangaroo on the box.I think there is grape and fruit punch flavor. They have a good amount of vitamins and minerals. I can post the actual brand name later.

If it has a kangaroo on the box, then it is most likely Kangavites from Solgar.

They don't usually use real sugar in chewable vitamins, they usually use some sort of sugar sub. However, you may need to compromise on the sweetener/colors in order to get the vitamins into your kids. Lets face it, all those vitamins taste nasty if they weren't all sweetened up (or in swallowable form).

We use the kids vitamins from freeda vitamins. They do not have artificial sweetners and they are vegan. I think they are called Vitalets. www.freedavitamins.com
The website says: All of our products are:
100% Vegetarian
Kosher Certified
Sugar-Free
Salt-Free
Yeast-Free
Gluten-Free
Lactose-Free
We have had both the orange and the raspberry and my girls like them fine. I was really trying to get away from the artificial sweeteners. If you order the big bottle they aren't that expensive.

I use the Freeda vitamins myself, and I'm not a kid. :D They are really good as far as nutritional components.
