http://www.eatraw.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=ER511 i was wondering if anyone here eats the type of foods u can find at this site? it seems like a good way to transition from cooked to raw because there are cookies, breads, crackrs, sauces, etc(says all are raw).
some are expensive, and probably better to just eat fruits and veggies but maybe these types of things can be made at home for less?
i want to eat more raw and was just wondering if people here have opinions
about prepared raw foods such as these? thanks!

I just looked at those Raweos cookies...no way there are only raw ingredients in those, nothing raw would produce that black (possibly very concentrated carob?) and nothing that white besides coconut, which is listed, BUT, you need a binder, coconut by itself falls apart. Tapioca starch may be the binder, not sure, but I bet they are only listing the raw ingredients. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. I make my own recipes, a lot of the real good stuff comes from my dehydrator. Just type in raw/living food recipes into Google and check out all the sites with recipes and make a compilation. That is what I did. Those prices are ridiculous by the way!!!

Definitely.

Definitely, but there's a lot of time, labor and equipment involved. You'll need a food processor and a dehydrator, and don't be fooled by the raw food propagandists, dehydrating does indeed destroy nutrients, denature proteins, and oxidize long chain fatty acids, even at relatively low temperatures.
So, you are better off eating real, minimally processed foods to the fullest possible extent.

I have been trying to eat more raw lalety, and as far as i know you need a processer, blender, juicer, and low temp dehydrator. I dont have a low temp dehydrator or juicer, so i have had mostly fruits and vegetables made in creative ways (raw soup, fun salads, smoothies) and i dont get tired of it. I actually find the produce and nuts in natural form most appetizing and easily digested.
here is a good place for recipes, i have more if you would like, but like others said, just do a search for raw vegan recipes in google and you should get a lot
http://www.living-foods.com/
i also have a recipe for pizza(including sauce and "cheese"), salsa chips, salsa, bread and am going to be getting more soon, this friday in fact if you would like.
