Nothing much today, I'm not quite feeling myself. Really tired and the mind doesn't want to do anything too strenuous either (too bad I still have homework to do!).
Monday:
4 mile run
30 minutes on elliptical

I officially sucked as a hamster last week, so this week has to be better!

The plan: weights every day, dance or run or bike daily, stretch daily.

Totally off topic...

The hamsters have invaded my subconscious!
CaptainSwab was in my dream last night! ha! I was dreaming about this terrible training I went to recently at a hotel nearby, and as I was frantically trying to find which ballroom the meeting was in. I went into one of the ballrooms and there was CaptainSwab getting married! Bizarre. I went up to her and congratulated her, and she looked at me like "who are you?" and then I ran off to find my meeting. It got much weirder after that, but no one on here was involved, so I won't get into it. :)

Mwhahahaha. Was the meeting in at the hotel Queen Mary? hehe. :)

I did my Pilates video today, and some Laundry and I cleaned my room. :)

I hope to get to the Gym tomorrow, and to start going often again, I'm starting to get back into my "I'd be perfectly happy just sitting in front of the computer and eating all the time" mode, caused by un-healthy eating habits and being lazy over March Break, it'll only take a couple of days to get over though, once I get back into the swing, I'll remember how good I feel not being lazy and eating good healthy food.

I did two hours of tae kwon do yesterday, two hours today, and I don't know about the rest of the week. It's going to be all crazy, but that's the life of a hamster! Let's have a good week everyone!!

blueserendipity - while I am certainly not a certified expert, I would suggest increasing your intake of protein *slightly* if you want to build muscle, and replacing simple carbohydrates like pasta and white bread with complex carbs, like fruits and vegetables, in order to keep your energy up for all that exercize. An hour of cardio kickboxing for your first class? You're ambitious! :)

Blackvelveteen and bobsy - way to hamster! :hamster:

I'm just about to head off for a bike ride and will hopefully hit the gym this afternoon.
And all this talk of skipping makes me want to start again... I used to skip a lot.

Hehehehe...I love this OCO! Can I use it for my signature?

blinkered, You awesome Hamster!

Bobsy, Way to go! :hamster:

BlackVelveteen, I can't get over how long you skip rope! You are the skippin' Hamster!

blueserindipity, I agree with OCO, you should increase your protein intake (but not alot) and you should eat more complex carbs, the best complex carbs are high in fiber or whole grains...whole grain breads, whole wheat pastas, legumes, potatoes, and vegetables, are all great sources of complex carbs. Fruits are also good for you to eat because they do contain some fiber and other important nutrients, but they are made up mainly of simple carbs. Things to avoid are white sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, candies, pastry...junk.

Gnarly  you skip too? I also do but just a little compared to BV.

Way to go Hamsters!!! :vebo: :hamster: :vebo:

Tamilee Webb: I Want That Body (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000055ZGP/qid%3D1080043769/sr%3D11-1/ref%3Dsr%5F11%5F1/103-8749197-1429400) - full body toning - 27 min (skipped 2nd warmup)
treadmill - 33 min, 2 miles, 3.5/4 mph, incline and speed intervals

Does anyone else, when under stress, clench their jaw during workouts (or not)?

ETA: I forgot to say that while 3.5 is starting to feel slow, I cannot stay at 4 mph for much longer than 5 minutes. My shins start to hurt and I have to slow down. Just trying to note such things to keep up with my progress.

Sky, do you have a sight we can go to yet, to see your teams progress? How many miles are you at?

Yes, it is up and ready now. Here's a link: Walk Across Kansas (http://www.oznet.ksu.edu/walk/teamprogress.aspx?strDisRowNum=3&county_id=887&countyname=Sedgwick) My team's name is Meadowlark. The program has really grown this year. Last year there were only about a dozen teams.

Rosemary Conley's New Body by Design video - first three workouts - Hips & Thighs, Upper Arms, Chest and Upper Back - 30 mins. Quite an easy workout, today :)

I don't think I clench my jaw, Christy, but I do find I sneer (like Elvis :p ) when I do certain shoulder exercises. I try to stop my lip from curling upwards, but it does it anyway! Weird!

I don't think I do that normally, but I'd rushed home to workout after a particularly annoying afternoon. :grr:

Ran from work again today, which was very enjoyable. We now have a route which takes us on bridleways and footpaths across fields and back to work total distance around 4(ish) miles with only about 300m on tarmac :)

GO HAMSTERS GO :hamster:
