I picked this up at the store, thought I'd try a new brand. It tastes like.. powder... is giving me dry mouth, and when I went to investigate the ingredients for why it would taste so bad, I discover: "lecithin, carmine color."
Doh! Don't buy this stuff.

I don't think I've ever paid attention to lecithin, so I got worried reading your post. I looked online and read that the majority of lecithin in commercial foods is from soy, although it could also be from eggs.
I need to make a list of this stuff.

What kind of Natur-a is it? I just looked at my vanilla lite and it didn't list those things....

Why in the world would they put carmine in there?

I got the strawberry flavor, hence the carmine. Actually, the packaging says "100% vegetarian" I later noticed. But eh...

Oh I have never had the strawberry. Wasn't planning to either.
I use the vanilla lite, plain lite, and unsweetened. I am pretty sure they all claim to be vegan on the carton. I haven't tried too many brands, this was the second one I tried and it wasn't vomit-inducing so I stuck with it.

Is Kool Aid vegan? I think it is....
Just get your favorite soymilk and add
some Strawberry Kool Aid powder plus
some sugar to the soymilk.....
That does suck that they lied on the packaging.
I would write them and point that out to them.

Or, Hershey's strawberry syrup is vegan. Or any knock off brand thereof, usually. I think I will write to them. Or call. I like to yell with my voice rather than my fingers. :)

I think it's Pacific that makes a really good strawberry soymilk. Never thought to check the ingredients but I'm pretty sure it's vegan, AND it's really really good.
