Yum, but I still love those ones at the HFS in the bulk
bin made from carob better. I like the carob ones as they
are more like a chunky bar and this one from Tropical Source
has less rice crisps and the carob has more. Tropical Source
is more a thin candy bar.

Can't get the link to work.

What I've always wondered is why are they so expensive? $1.99 and up for a single candy bar? I don't get it. But yeah, I've never tried one because of the price issue.

There is not enough rice in these.

Yes, I agree. Next time I am making my own....
I will post a recipe when I make it :)
The Carob Crispy Treats at the HFS in bulk
are so yummy! You should try them and
they have plenty of rice in them.

I love tropical source chocolate bars!!
There are two servings in one bar, so maybe that's how the company can justify the price. Also, higher quality chocolate isn't cheap either.
The one with banana in it is awesome too :lick:

I like the Tropical Source Almond Dark Chocolate bar. I made FR some almond blondies with chips of that chocolate in it, and those came out wonderful. Also, I ate part of the candy bar by itself and found it very good!

By the way, Sally, that's a really nice picture!

Yeah, the raspberry one is my favorite. SO GOOD!

The very IDEA of liking carob over chocolate... *faints*

I wish I could order them online, there aren't any stores that carry these items within a reasonable driving distance.

The HFS I usually go to isn't too bad to drive to, but it doesn't carry these items. :(

Pangea (www.veganstore.com) sells Tropical Source Bars. I'm pretty sure they ship to just about anywhere. Vegan Essentials (www.veganessentials.com) doesn't sell them, but they sell Plamil Chocolate Bars which I've heard are really good. There are probably at least a few other online veg*n stores that carry Tropical Source products.
