i had no idea perfumeria gal lip balm was vegan, i assumed it was some petroleum based thing like smith's rosebud salve or something. i have the merry hempster lip balm and it's totally rank. i can't stand the taste. as for pussy pucker pots, i really don't want to whip out a tin that says "vanilla vulva" on the subway or in the break room at work.

my towns main store is a health food store which makes their own lip balm which is vegan, so I don't have to look that hard to find vegan stuff. My problem is that I want to start making it and most of the recipes I have found call for beeswax or an odd assortment of oils that either are really expensive or I have never heard of.

You can find candelilla wax in bulk on various soap making websites. This is a good replecement in any lip balm recipe calling for beeswax. I have made it using olive oil, so no fancy oils are necessarily needed.

Oh crap, is patrolium not vegan? I got some lip gloss at Bath and Body Works last night because there was no beeswax in it and I thought it was vegan but it had petrolium so now I don't know.

Petroleum is vegan, but since it's made from black crude oil, it's not very good for you to have on your lips and probably swallow.

Yep, petroleum doesn't help the skin at all, it acts like a barrier and doesn't let moisture in. It's like wearing saran wrap.
If I wasn't an Arbonne rep, I'd have every pussy pucker pot :trick:

Ha, those Pussy Pucker things are awesome. :p But $6 is pretty hefty. I sent that page to my brother for a laugh.

i have a Hempola one that i love. i can never find Hempola stuff, if i do it's so overcharged because it's hard to find in my town, i got this one for 2 bucks at the summer festival up in my hometown (same booth i got my hemp shoes from too). it's starting to run out

"Dry lips? Rub some of this 'clitoris citrus' on them."
I have the vanilla Merry Hempsters kind. It smells good, but it doesn't taste like anything...so what's the point? I wanted it to TASTE like vanilla!

the vanilla one is the one i have too. to me it doesn't taste so much like nothing as it tastes like sh*t. as a result i never feel like putting it on and always have chapped lips. i miss trader joe's lip balm virtuoso. it has beeswax, but is the best lip balm ever. it tastes like olive oil!

Oh wow, these are awesome. I adore vulgarity so I do believe I'll be purchasing one of the pussy pots. ;)

I'm a sucker! I just spent $17 on 4 lip balms. That is a great website. I love lip stuff...and I don't wear makeup, so I find it okay to spend a few extra bucks for my lip fix!
