I'm just curious to know what most people here thought and felt after changing their diets to mostly raw? did everyone feel better? anyone not(some people can't handle too much fiber at one time!)? lose/gain weight?
i should have also asked about your wallets! in the winter especially, fruits and veggies are more expensive in the n.e, and no farmer's markets at all nearby. sure apples galore, but i look at strawberries, and melons rather longingly right now! ;)

I feel so musch better, i have two babies so for the past couple of years i always wake up tired, especially as we co-sleep and i breastfeed alot during the night.
Now i wake up sparkling inthe morning at around 6am so i've been able to grab a shower before the girls wake. I also have energy to keep up the constant pace during the day. I don't fall asleep whilst putting the girls to bed at 7.30-8 anymore i can actually get up again and stay up quite late now.
I just feel great

I felt better, raw gives you tons of energy (if you manage to eat enough calories, that is). I was not sick once, then again, I rarely get sick. I became more lean while eating raw.
It can be pricey yes, and also consider the fact that raw foodism is a pretty high maintenance diet. Ensuring you always have fresh produce at home in the quantities you need it, is quite an effort (although doable, of course).

does the rest of your family eat the same way? just curious! both replies here talk about energy and who couldn't use that?!

Yeah, I tried it for about a month before I gave up trying to figure out the amount of vegetables I could consume in the weeks I went between shopping without them going rotten.
I am waiting until I get my own house to try it again. I plan to get a large yard so I can have my own garden and grow all my food so I KNOW it's actually organic.
