The only thing I can say is make sure that you don't tease them about being omni's. Don't be an evangelical vegan. I don't suggest giving them all the facts about the meat industry and such. My brothers girlfriend thought that it was her duty to give my parents a hard time about the little meat they do eat (fish and chicken) and it drove even me crazy. Try not to make a big deal about being vegetarian. I have never had to deal with what you and many others have described. I live in a very diverse, accepting town. I get teased in a light hearted funny way by some of my friends and that is all, so I don't know if this will be of any help. If someone is going over board with their comments I just change the subject, ignore what they are saying, or offer them some of what I am eating. Don't let them know that it bothers you.

If u aren't doing anything to provoke that kind of behaviour, don't stress. Some people are just idiots..as harsh as that sounds.

yeah, when people see me eat they sometimes make fun of my food.. saying its fake food, its gross, etc, and I'm just like "One, soy is not fake or gross, andtwo, at least my food isn't made in a factory and won't give me a heart attack, unlike your 'real' food of doritos!" but most of the time, the best thing to do is say "whatever".

hmmm, are you going around blabbing that you are?? Sometimes people get offended because they feel that you think your superior to them because of your belief and as a result they feel that they have to critize and make you feel bad about it.

BTW I'm blonde too :D ....go blonde veggies :bobo:

They're not worth worrying about. Just ignore them and they're likely to stop. I hope!

I don't really get bullied, just mildly picked on...just continual questions and occasional mocking, but it's meant to be "fun"
