I really "fall off the wagon" when it comes to doing healthy things on the weekend. I don't take my vitamins, drink hardly any water, don't eat fruit, hardly eat veggies, don't go to the gym, etc. I find it easier to stay on the straight and narrow when I'm at work during the week. I have all my vitamins on my desk to remind me to take them. I can only eat what I bring to work, so I always eat the fruit I bring. I go to the gym right after work. I guess being good 5 out of 7 days a week is better than nothing, but I wish I could be a little more motivated (i.e. less lazy) on the weekend. Don't get me wrong, I have my share of junk food during the week, but I eat many more healthy foods than on the weekend. I was wondering if anyone else was in the same rut.

I'm the opposite. I have an 8:30 to 5:30, "Slave to the Grind", desk job. The weekends are my time for adventure. I went hiking for two days this past weekend, and I'm always snowboarding (or, at least, falling on my head and sliding down the mountain on my ass), rock climbing, house cleaning (the way I do it, it counts as exercise), walking, doing my parent's yardwork, etc. I tend to eat better on the weekend, too. I often skip breakfast before work and grab Taco Bell or bring PB&J for lunch. On the weekend, I eat and sleep more regularly.

I'm like that when I have a normal schedule. Working over the summer, I was forced to eat what I brought in my lunch bag. So if I packed fruit, I ate fruit. On the weekends, I could binge on the naughty things. 5/7 days is pretty good. You've got to rest/breathe/treat yourself sometime. Just be glad you *do* have the structure during the week.

Yeah I'm a week-end slacker too but I don't consider it a rut. I do it on purpose as a reward for being good during the week. If I had to be good all the time I would go crazy :)

well, even though i don't have the pleasure of working 9-5, i still "slack" on the weekends. during the week i eat really healthy, get plenty of exercise and get my school work done. however, on the weekends i usually stay with my boyfriend, who enjoys anything pertaining to laziness and junk food. so, we usually end up cooking lots of food together, which consists of large amounts of french fries, sleep to noon or later, and watch lots of movies, while never venturing outdoors. i try to even everything out by eating a veggie burger with some grilled veggies on top. but, its hard to eat healthy when tempted by deep-fried food and beer.

its ok to be lazy on the weekend when you work hard during the week. i would probably go crazy if i didn't have a time to relax and be lazy.

I'm a Saturday slacker. It's my free day to do whatever I want... no exercise, eat junk, go out partying, etc.

On Sundays I try to get back into the swing of things. Sometimes I slack a little... maybe skip the exercise or eat a heavy meal... but I make an effort on Sunday to get back on track.

I think the Mon-Fri schedule helps me stay on track. Though it's sad... each day is much the same. Work from 9-6, exercise after work, etc. A schedule is important to me for sticking to my workouts, but it's boring, too.

I am definately a weekend slacker. On weekdays I am at school at 7 in the freakin morning for jazz band, doing what my teachers tell me to do all day, go to track after school, once a week have band in the evenings, do my home work like a good girl, eat the apples and rice cakes I bring for lunch.

Weekends are my other half. I "catch up" on my sleep and lay around lazy both days. I don't live near a track and am kind of scared to go running where I live (there have been about 7 major car accidents on the road I live off of, and a lady went missing in the woods about three miles from my house). Now that the weather has turned somewhat nice (that is all that this area is capable of getting) and am going to have to figure out how to get exercise in. I don't have a set eating scedule on weekends so either forget to eat or eat in quantities I usually wouldn't.

I think it is good to have the two days off. For me it is the only way I can go and do all that I have to do on weekdays.

This weekend I was bad.
Last night I stayed out until 3 am, then came home, ate granola, went to sleep around 4, woke up at 10 at which time I went "ugh no gym" cause my class was 10:30. I consequently ate a bowl of pineapple and two pieces of biscotti for breakfast. Then I slugged around the house, watched TV, checked online stuff and went grocery shopping. Came home, put stuff away, cleaned the kitchen, had leftover soba noodles and seitan/veg stir fry for lunch. In the afternoon I ate a couple strawberries and some chocolate coconut. Then I cleaned my room, and the bathroom, and layed in bed with the cats watching TV and had a handful of dried berries and mixed nuts, then leftover pasta primavera for dinner... and two more pieces of biscotti. heh.
I guess I did pretty well fruits/veggies wise but I ate a lot more CRAP than I usually do during the week.

During the week, I exercise, work hard, eat healthy...and I enjoy it!

On the weekends, I sleep in, hang out, watch movies, eat junk, drink beer...and I enjoy that, too. As far as I'm concerned, the main purpose of life is to enjoy yourself, so don't feel bad for doing what makes you feel good!
