i saw that... it seems like a lot of people on Peta2 don't like steffen. Ive just tried to stay away from him... but this time... I had to do something.. heres my 2 cents:
Steffen-shut up. It’s kind of hard to be vegan when you live in a state where most people think vegetarian means eating "rabbit food". And when your 13, its hard living with people that eat meat and then being considered a freak because you don't eat meat and protest animal cruelty. Even PETA has said that the area I live in is bad... http://www.peta.org/feat/vegcities/worst.html I live 45 minutes away from number three... Vegetarians are still making a difference by not eating meat instead of eating meat, yes? I think that you should remember that not everyone can be vegan due to certain circumstances.

That's what I tried to tell him in another post, doing things like that don't bring people closer to veganism it just pushes them away. He kept gloating about how many people he has converted since he became vegan (over 3 years ago) and I've converted more in about 3 weeks than he has in 3 years so I don't see it being THAT big of a thing. He made me so angry.

all my experiences with peta have been on the negative side. a lot of the teens that use their boards are so judgmental. I am not a fan of peta to begin with, and kids like what you guys are talking about makes the whole website not worth it. To negative, to many vegan police. If you have to defend your vegetarianism from vegans, people need to chill. veggieboards is better:)

That's why I normally don't use the boards. The site in general is okay, because I can earn points with my activism that I can later use towards 'purchasing' things. And I actually met someone (the guy that I mentioned under relationship problems that I have a crush on) through the peta2 boards...but Steffen and another user (named Link) make me stop using it for weeks at a time, well the board part. I redirect anyone I can (that wants to learn about vegetarianism) to this board and tell them they will find more acceptance here.

you werent wrong because you clearly said (at least from what i got out of it) that you couldnt be vegan because it wasnt quite affordable yet, not that you were too lazy or just didnt care that much enough to become vegan. and that was alot of crap about vegan stuff being less expensive b/c it's not animals. soymilk definitely costs more than reg. milk and goes on sale less often at my grovery store at least. and vegan cheese and soy ice cream is definitely more expensive. i barely ever get to eat them b/c my mom doesnt feel like spending $5 for a half-pint of soy delicious. i kinda see her point.
so imo, you have every reason to be upset/angry at this person. i never went on peta boards, just came straight here after seeing the ad on vegweb.
