my 7 yr old daughter has decided that she wants to be veg. we are going to be driving to florida in about a month (28 hrs) :-/ aside from the obvious peanut butter, fruit, trail mix etc. what can i pack us to eat, that requires minimum chilling. also any game ideas or fun things to pack. she's a good car kid, im not worried about wanting to pull my hair out. i just want her to be as comfortable as possible. this is going to be a big move for her.

Hi Goonie,
When I travel, I always bring Natural Oven's "brainy" bagels with me. They are filling and are fortified with lots of nutrients. The other flavors are awesome too. They taste good enough by themselves, so you can eat them in the car without being really messy with PB. Luna Bars are also wonderful for traveling.
Bring lots of good music to listen/sing to.
I've seen cool books at Target that are meant for car trips. I think Rand McNally puts them out. There's maps and games and such. Also Mad Libs are fun! I've seen some really cool travel games/toys at Creative Kidstuff too. Do you have one of those on your side of the Twin Cities?
