Are you a shoe hussy? Come on, Punkmommy, I know *you're* one! There have got to be others here.
I admit, I'm one. I don't have as many pairs as I used to when I wore leather (25 compared to 50), but I'm slowly getting more & more..... I love shoes. They're an obsession. I could spend hours just looking at shoes- but vegan ones, of course!
So, come on, share your love of shoes with me! Hell, post pictures of your favorite ones! Make me jealous. :D
Most importantly, share any online stores that you love to shop for shoes. Here are mine-
www.veganessentials.com
www.veganstore.com
www.mooshoes.com
www.nbwebexpress.com
I also love to look on ebay for good deals, though that's kind of a gamble in case if they don't fit, which has happened a few times now. :(
Okay- your turn! Hussy!! :trick:

I recently got these: http://www.veganunlimited.com/16001.html and really like them! I love shoes, too, but my feet are shrinking or something, so all of my shoes are getting to be too big. :(

Damn my father for passing on his weirdly shaped feet to me! I can't wear any cute shoes, none of them fit my Fred Flintstone feet. I do love shoes, though, and if I could wear them, I would own sooooo many.

I have Flinstone-like feet too. I got custom vegan 'leather' shoes from www.veganwares.com, and they fit perfectly! They've lasted a long time too.

I like those, too! I've been eyeing them up for a while now. Good to hear a positive review on them. :)
Shoes too big, eh? If they're 8 1/2's, send them my way! hee hee

Do you all really feel like you have to buy your shoes from a vegan store? You'd be suprised at how many places like Nordstroms, Nine West, and just about everywhere have numerous non-leather shoes. You just gotta search for the 'all man made materials' label because even if there is no visible leather, shoes often have them on the inside for better 'breathing.'...... im sure the cow needed to breathe more than peoples feet....

No, I'm sorry, but they're not the right size. Even though they are a little too big, they still are very comfortable...and cute!! You can get 10 percent off at www.veganunlimited.com, too! I don't know if the 10-percent discount is going on now or not, but I'm sure they'll have it again soon if not.

I refuse to admit how many pairs of shoes I own. (I was actually shocked when I counted them once!) My sister has to drag me away from the shoe department on a regular basis. I've been good lately, though (poverty really helps, lol). I haven't had to deal with the vegan issue yet.

I'll look in stores around here for non-leather shoes in addition to shopping onine.
Really, though, I prefer to get them online. They're better quality than most that you can buy in a store & I like supporting a vegan business. :)

On my first scan of the thread title I thought it said "Calling all Shoe Hussites" :p.
Anyway, I'm having tremendoes difficulty finding nonleather shoes in conventional stores. I made up my mind about wanting to gradually shift away from leather objects months ago, but I simply cannot find other shoes :(. I suppose I could post-order from the web. However, I cannot buy shoes without trying them on first since I have odd feet.

I think I'd qualify as a shoe hussy. Here's my latest pair:
http://www.veggieboards.com/pics/showphoto.php?photo=1685&password=&sort=1&cat=502&page=2
I've worn them 3 times now and they are finally starting to get easier to walk in.

I got a pair of tan boots from www.vegetarian-shoes.co.uk . I love them! They're also sold on Mooshoes. :)
I haven't bought many shoes lately because most stores have so few nonleather shoes. And it can be annoying to buy them online because you don't know if they'll really fit... I saw this pair of shoes i really wanted on the urban outfitters website but they don't sell them anymore.:(

I got mine at Baker's. I don't know if you have a Baker's where you are but they seem to have about half leather and half non leather to choose from. They have very trendy shoes for decent prices.

*sighs, and whispers very quietly:*
Over 100 when I last counted (a couple of years ago). I will NOT state how close to 200 it may have been. Don't remember actually, but probably too close for comfort!
:surprised
Oh, the shame ....

I'm starting to be a shoe hussy, since I sell shoes for a living. I see all the cute styles that come in at work, I try them on, wait for them to get really cheap (with sales/clearance, coupons, and my employee discount), and then I buy them. My poor husband wonders how many pairs I really "need". I just figure that I won't have this job forever and what I'm buying now will last me for years to come.
