Thanks to Plath, I just got these really cool ones for five bucks! Plath got them first, though, so I'm a copy-cat. :D

Zappos just got these in- http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/2222736/c/23556.html They're vegan certified!

Also, does anyone know where I can find a pair of these Mary Janes that are leather-free? I love them so much and have been looking forever, but haven't had any luck. :(

I think I need some help. Has anybody been to the LA Fashion District? I ended up there this morning and nearly flipped over the enormous variety of All Man Made footwear and accessories. Sooo cheap too. If I had been carrying cash there would have been some serious damage done to my budget. If anyone else lives around LA and is interested in putting a dent in their inventory I would love a veg shoe shopping partner. Who's up for it?

I took a picture of a pair of shoes i bought a whiiiiile ago but alas, it was not a digital camera and i must wait for the pics to develope...then i shall scan them and share my beautiful shoes with the world of VB shoe hussies :D

Just adding a few more sites where you can find vegan shoes-

Heartland Products- http://chiana.trvnet.net/~hrtlndp/ This is also the only place I've ever seen a non-leather baseball glove.

The Vegetarian Site- http://www.thevegetariansite.com/cgi-bin/miva?Merchant2/merchant.mv+ They have some really nice slides & clogs on clearance. Unfortunately, not my size. :(

And for those of you that love Birkenstock, here are two leather-free pages to order from
http://catalog.birkenstockcentral.com/cgi-bin/VirtualCatalog3/CatalogMgr.pl?cartID=b-3688&SearchField=category&SearchFor=veg&template=Htx/template-a.htx&hdr=Leather+Free

and

LOL I'm so excited-- mine are scheduled to come today via UPS. I can't wait to try them on!

How about these, Sally- http://www.mooshoes.com/edc-cgi/moostore.cgi?user_action=detail&catalogno=45672 They state that they have a generous circumference around the calf, but I'm sure that if you emailed them that they would measure it for you.

I got an email back from Erica at Mooshoes with the measurements of this boot. The shaft is 14.5" high. The circumference is bout 14 inches. Probably not going to be big enough

So, I never could find shoes anywhere locally, so I broke down and bought a pair online from Zappos. I got these http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/1168897/c/1134/g/women/w/8.html

Zappos is just amazing. I placed my order at around 6pm on Wednesday night. I paid $7 for 3-Day shipping to make sure that I got them in time for the wedding. They sent me a note later than night stating that they'd upgraded my shipping for free. My shoes arrived the *next* day at around 2pm, less than 24 hours after I ordered them. They fit really well, and I look damn good in them. :vebo:

Cute shoes, Jess! I adore Zappos. I've received their shoes in less than 24 hours, too, free shipping included. Definitely a big plus in my book!

Those are exactly the kind of boots I've been looking for, but the calf would be way too big on me :( Plus they're a bit pricey.

I almost had an orgasm in the store today when I found a pair of Enzo Anglioni (sp) knee high black boots that actually fit over my big legs AND are vegan. I will post a picture later....
I found them at Marshall's for $60.
I can hardly wait to wear them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :vebo:

Anybody know a good place for leather-free hiking boots? I'll need a good, comfy pair for my trip to Utah at the end of the month.

Vegan Essentials carries Garmonts, which I have. They're a bit on the expensive side but I can guarentee you that they're worth it.
