You know those corn-multigrain delecious things. well, at schoo we had a party, and I ate like 6 servings of them and about 4/5 smallish apples. I did not eat brakfast (only coffee-260 cals for breakfast) and I will try not to eat much else today, but anyway, are sunchips kinda healthy, even though they are mainly corn and oil? It's not hydrogentated (or it says vegetable oil on the package)... I feel like a glutton, even though I did not eat the non-vegan cookies that were devoured and the cheesy snacks.

You feel like a glutton? I'm not sure how to word this but maybe you should should check out this thread:

I'm not suggesting anything at all but a post like that is a bit troubling.

Sunchips aren't so bad. Some of them aren't vegan (I don't know if you're vegan or not) like the sour cream and onion flavor. 6 servings is a lot (I'm assuming that you're using the serving size on the back of the bag?) but if you didn't have breakfast then it makes sense. You're not a glutton, but you could use a little more balance. Try having a medium sized breakfast next time. It's hard to have balanced meals at a party so don't worry at all about that, just enjoy your party!

When you're not partying at lunchtime have 2 servings of sunchips with some fruit/veggies and a protein of some sort (or dinnertime, of course). Your body needs a certain number of calories each day to even live and if you don't get that your metabolism will become very confused. PM me if you want more information about the number of calories that you need in a day to lose or maintain weight healthfully.

In short, I think your health is not ruined. Enjoy your school parties. And remember, breakfast is good for you! :)

Hey, it's not a daily thing you eat, right? Even then, a small amount every day really wouldn't be that bad. I've been on streaks where I eat tortilla chips (basically the same thing as Sun Chips, I guess) every day for a while.

I wouldn't worry about it or feel bad, Keegan. You sound like you're doing very well with everything. Something that isn't super healthy every now & then can actually be good for you. You won't feel deprived this way.

Keep up the great work!

I've done worse. (especially considering no breakfast, this is to be expected) And they are a low fat chip. Anyway, this is no where near glutton behavior.

Puh-leeez! Teenage boys are built to be eating machines. I've witnessed a group of teenage males devour nearly an entire large pizza each, plus breadsticks and soda. All of them were regular sized people, it was amazing to watch. ;)
I know telling you to stop worrying is like telling the sun to stop shining, but do yourself a favor and quit with the negetive self talk.

the thing is, at the party, there were a lot of peeps, and I was the main one eating them (As they were the only vegan ones) and I never buy them, so I was like what the hell, and then the 9 serving bag was gone. So i figured maybe since everyone at least ate some of them, that tI ate 6 of the 9 servings. But that's what kills me, I just grabbed, I have no actual idea of how many I ate. Then I was a major pig and ate a whole lotta apples. anyway, thanks for the help!

Once you pop, you just can't stop. Pringles be damned if they don't tell the truth. I hate the addictive nature of potato chips. Sun chips are my favorite.

Coffee has calories?? Hmm, I thought it was like tea...all the calories come from all the sugar and crap you put it in. But if it's black and "the real stuff" it still has calories?

Coffee technically has like, 3 calories a cup or something. Due to, I don't know... bean skin falling in or something. (???)

Probably he's referring to a frappucinno, though. Which does rack about 260 cals.

I jacked up the soymilk content of it, like half coffee and half soymilk.

Keegan Keegan Keegan... apples=healthy, nutritious, yummy snack which one should never ever feel guilty about eating.

Anyway, my suggestion is the same as what someone else said about balance. I bet you would feel better about it if you had some of a lot of different things rather than a little bit more of only a few things, if that makes any sens. Basically you aren't eating that much, it's just that it was all in Sun Chips and apples. So you know, eat a few less chips and one or two apples and also have a peanut butter sandwich, a glass of soymilk, and some carrots dipped in hummus and then it is just a balanced meal! But basically you are doing just fine! Heck I think Sun Chips should be their own food group sometimes! :)
