View Full Version : What Did You Eat *Raw* Today?

Just dipping my toes in the water, here! I read the whole original thread and got interested, like many others. I'm not going to be a 100% -- or even 80% -- raw foodist anytime soon, but I'm definitely interested in increasing my raw intake. I like to read what those who eat mainly raw have in a day, but I also like to hear from everyone who is, like me, simply aiming to do more raw.
Right now I'm going for raw breakfasts. I've never been a "fruit person," but I went out and bought a bunch, and I'm actually really liking it. :) I've had a raw fruit breakfast every day this week.
Today:
nectarine
plum
2 slices watermelon
fresh-sqeezed orange juice
I know that's not a lot cal-wise, but since I tend to skip breakfast altogether it is an improvement! :rolleyes:

This looks like a good thread. Like you mentioned, I am not intrested in 100% raw, but would really like to increase my raw intake.
For example, today I had:
Large salad with lettuce, cucumbers, and carrots
apple
banana
As you can see I need work! Maybe this thread can help motivate me!

You need work, epski?! I had absolutely no raw food today. :o
I usually try to at have a grapefruit and some salad at dinner, but I went out for a burrito tonight. :p
a delicious crisp gala apple
a banana
a tomato (on toast)
1/2 cup lettuce (salad)
1/2 cup radishes (salad)
2 carrots (salad)
1 cup green grapes
1/3 cup guacamole (on my tacos)
1/3 cup fresh salsa (on my tacos)
1/2 a cucumber (side dish sprinkled with vinegar and salt)
wow, i eat a lot of raw stuff, but i still eat more cooked food! especially in the winter.

I had an apple, three clementines, 2 cups of baby carrots (mmmm!), and I'm going to have a fruit salad in a few minutes. Are soy nuts raw?
I have such a hard time eating raw food when it's soooo freakin' cold outside.
I've had a big ol' carrot so far.

I had a an organic banana, some veggies in my tofu salad, then an organic pear :D I have been thinking of increasing my raw intake but its hard to do with the choices i have right now but i can try :)

Hm! I just asked myself, what *did* I eat raw today? I had a tub of guacamole! Which is raw, though not intentional.

I went to the vegan buffet on campus for dinner tonight. They were serving raw spaghetti. I think it was mostly made from courgette, and then there were tomatoes and salad and other stuff...it was really yummy!

I had 2 green apples, a banana, half a container of black berries, a few strawberries, and a bunch of raw nuts.
1 banana and fresh orange juice for breakfast today.
Two medium salads with lettuce, cucumbers, tomato and red onion.

hmm lets see.. the veggies in my pita sandwich, a yummy smoothie, more veggies with dinner and a banana! yum yum
Breakfast was an apple and a banana -- with peanut butter. (Those of you who know me as a former peanut-butter-hater will be surprised, lol.)
... and later, a large salad with with lettuce, tomato, cukes and red onions (again).

pear, orange, big salad, veggies, 2 apples, orange, 2 kiwis... mmmm... fruit
Breakfast: an avocado and a quarter of a cucumber (I had my savory tooth acting up this morning, lol).
And later a really big salad (with the usual ingredients, see above).

A banana and a plum for morning tea. I'll have another banana and some grapes for lunch. That's probably all for today.
