I posted this in a few more forums, because I know on some messageboards I'm a part of some people mainly stick to one forum...so this will get the word out.
Okay, I have recently became a vegetarian...but I am finding it hard to stay on a balanced diet and I seem to be eating too much junk food. So to help me with this...today, i created a food log for myself. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take just moments out of their schedule each day and check it out, commenting with tips of things to do and to tell me when I do something good. I would REALLY appreciate it!
I will edit the same entry throughout the day, so if you don't check back after breakfast you wont see what i ate for lunch and dinner (etc).
Well thanks in advance:

That's hella cool. I was considering doing something similar. I'll totally check it out! I've been vegetarian for a while so maybe I can help out a bit :)

If you are worried about eating healthy, may I suggest low fat or fat free cheese? Try cooking in olive oil instead of butter. Drinking lots of water is good! For snacks, try some fresh fruit or veggies and some granola. There is a great recipe for granola in "The Jumbo Vegetarian Cookbook" by the Kids Can Press company. I suggest checking it out from the library! It has TONS of healthy vegetarian/vegan recipes in it. :hungry:

Italian Frittata
6 eggs
1/3 cup fresh bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk, tomato juice or water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup chopped/cooked veggies
salat and pepper to taste
1/4 parmesan cheese, grated
Heat your broiler
Crack the eggs into a bowl. Add bread crumbs and milk. Beat until blended.
In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and saute for 3 minutes or until the onion is soft but not brown.
Add the veggies and saute until the veggies are heated through. Add the salt and pepper
Pour the egg mixture over the veggies. Stir once. Cook over medium-low heat until the eggs are set.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Using oven mits, place the frying pan under the broiler. Cook for 3-5 minutes until firm and golden.
Let the frittata cool for 2-3 minutes before removing it from the pan with a spatula. Serve hot or at room tempature.

Hmm..... It is pretty much impossible to move away from junk food all together try adding one thing that is a junk food to your diet like a mini candy bar and make that like your junk food for the day.
