That this board doesn't have a ton of trolls! When ever I post on PETA I get so frustrated because it seems like the only people answering my posts are omnivores! :wall: They come onto PETA and just totally bash everything I believe in. I don't support PETA 100% but I like posting on there because there are so many people on the boards. I am so glad vegetarian teen merged with this board. Y'all are great! :D

That's pretty much PETA for you. I post on the PETA boards from time to time, but usually, I reserve my posts for moments when i feel that I need to speak up. Many of the kids on the PETA2 boards are misguided, and the trolls only make the situation worse.
It's great that veggieboards has a teen section. I'd hardly noticed how many teens there were on here. OK, so in a year, I'll no longer be a teenager (I'm 19) but it's great to see that we have an active youth community.

Hah yeah I go to peta2.com sometimes too!
I only do the same thing as Loki.
I can't stand the anti-Vegetarian stance so many of those kids have (*cough* KIM *cough* STEFFEN), and the way they are so down on others that haven't been as lucky as them!
Yeaaa go VB :bobo:

Yeah the moderators do a really good job about trolls. I think that nonvegetarian people would be more attracted to harassing PETA boards since PETA is such a visible symbol for veg*nism and they tend to do lots of things that piss off a lot of people.
but a couple threads that I have seen there just between veg*ns got pretty rude and intense, not to say that I've never seen that here, but it's seems more acceptable (and frequent) over there. Yay for VB!

I find myself getting really, really snippy with other people on those boards. Last night this girl just kept posting after me "Why are you fruitarian? Don't you know all those bananas and apples are ripped from fruit trees and shoved into cramped boxes then sent all over the world?" Oooo she just kept rubbing me the wrong way. I never did say something mean back to her even though I wanted to. :furious: She was an ARA too that is what really bugged me. I mean, we are all working for the same cause, why can't we work together instead of in different dirrections?

Yeah, it's hard to keep a level head when one's lifestyle is being attacked! I agree that we should be working together. I think it's pretty cool that you're a fruitarian!

I think the atmospher eher eis more relaxed and welcoming. PETA2 seems to be a hotbed of radical ideas, radical stances and all-or-nothing mentality. I'm in agreement with dannykass. I post there mainly to offer my guidance. It seems that many kids believe that if someone doesn't understand vegetarianism, then showing them meet your meat is the answer.

Yeah, I know you from PETA2. My name on there is Celena. Quite a few people on there are really mean to vegetarians. Some of my good friends that I talk to on AIM are vegetarians.

I go by the name of Loki on PETA2. My posts are few and far between, but you may catch me from time to time.

I've never posted on Peta2, and from what it sounds like I don't want to. Both "meet your meat"-obsessed kids and the rude omnivores make it sound like an overall bad place.
I'm glad VB isn't like that.:)

Steffen seems like the kind of guy who I would not want to be stuck on a desert island with. I think he's a little bit outspoken, and personally, I don't think his opinions are good. He seems to favour the all-or-nothing approach.
