This forum is the first in what will hopefully be a series of joint partnerships. In an effort to add more quality content to VB we're checking into teaming up with several well-known veg websites. The owners of these sites will "host" a forum on VB related to their specific field of interest - they will be moderators (of their forum only) and will be responsible for creating and guiding the discussion within their forum and for providing support.
The first website to join us is VegetarianTeen.com.
IMPORTANT:
This forum is for teens only. Please respect that. We want teens to feel comfortable posting in this forum - it is meant for them to discuss issues amongst themselves. If they want input from everyone they can and will post in one of the other forums.
If we know you are not a teen and are posting in this forum (accidents happen) we will offer a gentle reminder. If it continues to be a problem we'll have to look at other options.
To the current teens of VB, we hope you'll enjoy this new forum. To those of you that have come over from VegetarianTeen.com - welcome!

Michael - because of the "new posts" option some people who are not teens have been responding to threads in this forum without even knowing they were breaking rules!

Then they need to pay more attention!

To avoid putting an unnecessary burden on our moderators - we will just delete posts by people we know shouldn't be posting in this forum.

There are still some 20 year olds posting in the teen forum. I accidentally did and was given a firm reminder and therefore deleted my post. Sorry. But, there are others there who seem to have not been reminded. Thought you'd want to know.
As a side note the mod told me that teenager defined for that forums purpose is anyone age 17 or less. Maybe put that in your "before posting in this forum" verbage to avoid confusion by others. Just a friendly suggestion.

We aren't trying to single anyone out by repremanding some and not others. It usually can be explained by not seeing all the posts. We try not to read the Teen Forum, but we do see or are told when adults post there.
And, I'm not sure who told you that it was for ages 17 or less. I made a post saying its for ages 19 or less. So for the board it would be ages 13-19 who are allowed.

You did in the post that's now deleted (stating it's for members who are 17 years or younger). I don't want to make a big deal because it was an accident on my part so I deleted my post. I'm just more careful of where I post and check the forum prior to responding. There are specklings of 20+ year olds posting in the teen forum in various topics. The only reason I pointed it out was because it's obviously being missed by someone.

Sorry about that, it was a typo, I ment to type 19 and younger.
Thanks for being more careful, and thanks for all the other adults being respectful as well.
In addition, we are always not aware of all the teens. Some don't post their birth year, and sometimes the 20 year olds we think are teens. (Well, me atleast).
We will be having a more watchful eye on this forum as to keep the adults away (sorry my fellow adults :D)

A lot of it is due to the fact that I don't know how old some of the people are. I don't check everyone. The people that I know are over 19 are the ones I'll usually say something too. That's really all their is to it. That's the price you pay for going to Cedar Point I guess. :p

By the way, teens, you can help us out by putting something like "Teens:" in front of your thread title. It's not required but it would be an easy way for everyone to see that it's for teens only.
Mods, if you want to go through and do this on some of the threads that's fine too. I'll look into the possibility of having it done automatically. I don't think it'll be very easy if it's even possible though.

Noo!!! I like this color (I think I'm the only one who does though). Anyway, grey wouldn't stand out so much.

the background color---note how the thing that your text, name, avatar, and messages are on is grey. Perhaps if you had read the thread, you would have a vague idea of what they're talking about.

It has become apparent that there is a need for a reminder of the TOS, which you agreed to upon registering with this site. I would like to highlight one term in particular that has become a problem recently.
