Hello, i have recently put up a testimonial website about overcoming chronic obesity by eating raw food - you can check it out at www.rawreform.com - there is advice for others who may wish to do the same. Please feel free to let me know what you think of the site - all feedback greatly appreciated.

dear MsRuthieB, I assure you this is not an advert for some commercial site - I lost approximately 10 and a half stone (145lbs) through eating a raw vegan diet - I am half the person I used to be and am enjoying life so much more - I made my site to share my experience and hopefully inspire others to take responsibility for their own health in a similar way.
Angela.

Hi Angela

Nice site. I'll definitely have a more thorough look through it.
And congratulations on your amazing weightloss!

Wow, I am very proud of you for sticking to it. That is a great site. I have been going back and forth with raw, but have not completely dedicated myself to it. I've lost 40 pounds since becoming a vegan and am still overweight, but it is still coming off very slowly. It's a very inspiring story. Thank you and welcome to the boards.

Hi, I posted a notice here some time ago about my testimonial raw vegan weight loss site. Today is actually the one-year anniversary of my site going online, so I'm feeling very proud and happy to spread my message - there have been some great recent updates to the page, including a before-and-after photo gallery, so please take a look.
I overcame morbid obesity by eating a mainly raw vegan diet - I went from an all time high of 21stone, BMI 46, dress size 28, to my current healthy and happy 10stone 3lbs, BMI 22, size 10-12. My life has been completely transformed by adopting this lifestyle and I want to share this story with others who are looking for a way out of the self-destructive patterns of compulsive overeating and obesity.
You can check out my story at www.rawreform.com and let me know what you think.
Thanks and a happy new year to you all,
Angela.www.rawreform.com

RawReform, I am considering temporarily adopting a raw food diet with the exception of tea for the VB Weight Loss thing. I am about 50% raw now.
Veganism allowed me to lose almost 80 lbs. It is amazing what a healthy diet can do. Congratulations on your loss and your newfound health! :vebo:

Errr...I'm going raw today I hope that dosen't automatically mean weight loss, cause I'm already pretty petite as it is.

Hi Bunny Hugger - well, the standard pattern of weight loss with going very high or 100% raw is that while your body goes through major detoxing, you will lose weight - your body will be cleaning out all the stuff it doesn't want or need, then when everything is clean, you will regain weight to what's healthy for you. So, in the long-run, there's nothing much to worry about, but in the interim, you may find it difficult - a friend here who was already naturally very slim went 100% raw and was worried by losing weight to begin with - he really didn't have much to lose, but I just heard from him 2 days ago that he's started to regain weight now, so he's very happy.
Hope that anwers some questions - wishing you the best of luck,
Angela.
