Didn't they used to contain egg whites? I bought some today after seeing vegan was printed on the box.

What do those taste like? I really like okra!

I don't have an answer to your question. Sorry.

"SoyBoy makes okara patties that are quite good. Some other brand (Natural Touch?) makes 'em too but theirs isn't vegan."

suggesting that they were formerly NOT vegan.

Courage Burgers are made by SoyBoy, and as indicated in that post, they have always been vegan. Oh how I miss Courage Burgers. I can't get them on the west coast and that makes me very sad. They are definatly the best vegan "chicken" patty out there.

I haven't had them - hey Jess, have you tried the Health is Wealth brand? Those are delicious, imo. :lick:

I used to eat them all the time but then the HFS that carried them couldn't get them anymore. They're so good! :lick:

Now if I want them I have to special order a case from a HFS that's a 45 minute drive away. I may just have to do that, soon, 'cause I haven't had them in a long time!

To answer your question, though, yes, they have always been vegan.

I've had the Health is Wealth ones some time ago, but it's been a while. I'm not really comfortable buying HIW products after seeing the way they handled (or, rather, didn't handle) the mis-packaging of their chicken nuggets in the chicken-free nugget boxes. That's a sign of pretty sloppy manufacturing processes and I'm not at all reassured that it couldn't happen again.

I agree - but at the same time when I'm shopping I can't turn them down (though it's on my mind everytime I but them. :p)
