I'm trying to narrow down the organizations I wish to make donations to this year (which I will be able to do for the first time thanks to DH and I paying off our credit cards and us setting up a real budget).

I've already had my eye on Farm Sanctuary for awhile, and have a local no kill shelter that I volunteer at (and adopted a new kitty from in November!) and plan other non monetary donations to. So aside from Farm Sanctuary, I can pick one other organization. I've decided the best route is to find the largest possible spay neuter program, ones that make it possible for veterinarians to offer low cost or free s/n, and ones that s/n feral animals and rerelease them (unless there are issues related to that that anyone would like to share.)

Can anyone give me advice? If there is currently no such animal, I have found what I believe is a large organization in my state (Arizona).

AFAIK, there isn't a nat'l S/N program. They're all local or regional. There are some foundations that provide grant money for local S/N programs, so perhaps donating to those might meet your needs.

I may be wrong, however, so I'll watch this thread for any corrections.
