hello all,

my name is carl from california and this is my first post. i have a question about a pair of sneakers i've been looking at buying.

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/604790/c/147.html

i've seen these sneakers described as synthetic nubuck, synthetic materials, mesh side panels, and even one site say they were combination leather/synthetic upper.

does anyone here know someone that knows for sure from what material these sneakers are made? hopefully not leather!

take a peek and thanks for the help:

I don't know about the Asics, but I did notice a link to vegetarian shoes on that site (in a list over on the right side) and I didn't see Asics listed in the vegetarian athletic styles -- just Converse and Vans. Sorry... :(

P.S. Welcome to Veggieboards! :)

asics makes a lot of vegan shoes, my boyfriend actually has a pair with all the materials listed on the patch on the back of the tounge. not all asics are vegan but they are better at clearly listing their components than a lot of shoe companies. i'm not sure about that pair.

New Balance also makes a lot of excellent vegan sneaks. They are very helpful when you e-mail them for info too.

They don't look vegan, but it doesn't say either way on that site. But wow that's an expensive pair of shoes!!
