Does anyone know if wild oats markets offer vegetarian magazines??? if so, would they have "herbivore" magazine, or is that only available by subscription/online retailers???

I was just there tonight and didn't see it. In fact I don't think I've ever seen that magazine sold anywhere...

The one by me (SoCal) only carries Vegetarian Times and Veggie Life. They don't have the VRG mag or Herbivore.

hey!

i'm the editor of herbivore. our newsstand distribution is still growing so we're not everywhere we should be just yet. some whole foods carry us, some barnes and nobleses, some borders, but not all of them. the best way to get it in the store near you is to ask them, they know where to get it but since we're still somewhat new and not a proven money maker to them yet, a lot of places don't carry it. the magazine biz, i'm finding, moves at a glacial pace and good distro is driven by demand.

or you can always order from our site, http://www.herbivoreclothing.com

hope that helps!

I saw Herbivore at my regular grocery store once, but the next time I went (planning to purchase the magazine), they did not have the issue.

I would rather read a magazine once or twice and then decide whether I want a subscription or not.

I would recommend it. I have issues 1 and 2, and will subscribe from now on. Very cool, and not at all typical.
