Someone recommended this website as a good place to get vegan goods. But I'm having trouble with their website. It's hard to navigate. From the main page I don't even know where to click to look at their items. When I finally did get to the items, the pictures appear over the top of the words because the frames are too compressed together. I just want to go in and start editing the HTML code myself because I feel bad that the only thing stopping me from shopping here is poor site design. They seem to have a good selection of items, but navigating through them was cumbersome. So, that's my review, any one else feel differently?

The person that runs that site registered recently but I don't think she checks in too often. I'll be sure she sees your comments.

Hi,
I'm Christi, owner of that site. I'm so sorry you are having problems with navigation. This is the first I've heard of that since I switched to Nexternal back in May. It should appear as 3 frames: one category navigation frame on the left, a larger center section for products, and a third section with the shopping cart. You should see these frames once you have entered the shopping site:

What browser are you using? If you are stuck in frames from another website that would compress everything down, but other than that, I'm not sure what the problem could be.

Sorry I didn't mean to sound so negative in my comments! I do think it's great that you have a store with so many great vegan goods. So don't take anything personally, just take them as a technical comments/suggestions. Everything was as you described. When I first went to differentdaisy.com I wasn't sure what to click to see the list of items. I saw the link to vegangoods.com but I thought that was a different affiliate site so I didn't click that. (I figured it was like how Petamall.com has links to other stores on their front page). I didn't realize that that link was in fact your site, just with a different name. Now that I know, it does make sense, but it didn't occur to me on my first visit to the site.
So anyways, since I didn't see how to get to a place where I could browse your items, I decided to click on one of the featured items that are shown on the front page. But when I clicked it, nothing happened! It turns out that clicking on a featured item opens up a new window and one of my pop-up blockers was blocking it from opening a new window. I finally thought to disable the pop-up blocker (hold down CTRL) and click the link and then it worked and a new window opened that took me to the Nexternal shopping site.
But then I found it difficult to navigate because of the Frames. I think nexternal was probabaly designed for browsers that are set to full screen mode with a screen resolution of 1024 pixel width or greater. I always use 800x640 the site doesn't work well at that resultion. I'd hate to see it if anyone still uses 640x480 resolution. Sometimes the pictures were bigger than the center frame, so you had to scroll over to see the whole image. But the part that made me give up was that the item descriptions were covered up by the images! I've made a screen capture so you can see what I'm talking about. I was thinking about buying a copy of the Shelter Mutts t-shirt, and as you can see in the screen capture, most of the description is covered up. If you look just to the right of the picture of the t-shirt you see the first letter of each sentence, but that is all. Also, the frames were not adjustable, so I couldn't stretch out the middle frame in order to make the picture and words all fit. So those were the problems I encountered. I did like that you have fixed shipping rate that is very reasonable! And I also liked that you had a phone number and email address on the main shopping cart frame. Not to mention the great selection of good products.
