I was at the store today, and saw that the EB sticks box had a "new 100% Vegan" label on it. Read the ingredients to double check, and bought some. Don't know if this is old news, but thought I'd post for anyone else who didn't know. (Previously, the EB sticks were not vegan, as they contained whey.) The sticks are the same price as the tubs, $1.89, and have four sticks. One stick = 1/2 cup, so a total of 2 cups. No more having to measure out for baking! :bobo:

Taken from the box. Non-Gmo Ingredients: Expeller-pressed natural oil blend (soybean, palm fruit, canola seed, and olive oils), filtered water, pure salt, natural flavour (derived from corn, no MSG, no alcohol, no gluten) soy protein, soy lecithin, lactic acid (non-dairy, derived from sugar beets), colored with beta carotene from natural sources.

Cool! I can only find the tubs around here, but now I'm going to have to ask for them to carry the sticks. It would make baking so much easier! Thanks for letting us know. :)

That is great news cause I really love the sticks! I had bought a package before finding out they weren't vegan about 2 months ago (my eyes must have skipped over reading where it said "whey" in the ingredients). I was like "screw it! I'll finish this off and look for another brand next time". So anyway, that is good to hear.

Maybe you caught the shortening instead of the sticks. I know the shortening ones were always 100% vegan

No, I saw the EB Sticks. The packaging even had a bright yellow "New" 100% Vegan label on it. I didn't know that EB made shortening. :)

Cool, I never would have bothered looking at them again after having almost bought the non-vegan ones. Good to know!

The sticks are definitely vegan now. I bought some about 5 days ago.

This is great to hear! Thanks for posting. I would not have looked at them again either, after being so dissapointed about the whey. Yea for Earth Balance!!!

Thanks for letting us know. It'll be so much easier to measure now.
