Lately I've been on a lot of different anti-depressants, and I finally found one that works. I have to take a pretty high dosage throughout the day, but for the past week that I've been feeling better, I've had no apetite at all. I actually have to remind myself that I need to eat, and half the time when I do it doesn't settle well. I've even broken veganism a few times and gotten candy or what not. Not that it settles well or anything.

Has anyone else gone through this? I love food usually, and I love to cook. I have no problems eating once I start but It's weird that I'll go an entire day and just not eat untill 5 or 6 pm, which can't be healthy at all...

One of the possible side effects is a loss of appetite. There are some people who completely lose it the entire time taking the medication.

Some people lose their appetites, some eat excessive amounts of food on antidepressants. It is possible that once you fully adjust to the medication, your appetite will return.

I lost my appetite on an antidepressant, also. The medication didn't work for me so I ended up switching. I don't know how common it is for the appetite suppression to continue.

In the meantime, remind yourself to eat whatever may sit well regularly. You still need energy.

Talk to your doctor if this continues for an extended period.

I've been on a few different anti depressants and some of them do cause you to lose your appetite. There are so many side effects with antidepressants. I rarely get the hungry feeling anymore so I make sure that I eat or else I know I'll forget. It doesn't hurt to mention it to your doc though.
