i'm not sure where to post this, so i guess here for now. traveling out west to erie, pa for thanksgiving, i saw a billboard for a vegetarian deli/cafe!! i couldn't believe my eyes, and was pleasantly shocked to see this in a rural area (exit #91, donegal). anyway, made it a point to stop for some eats on the way back, and my husband, sister and i had an awesome vegan meal. the place is called Maggie's Vegetarian Deli/Cafe and has great food, along with a grocery (unfortunately the grocery is closing soon). on saturday nights they have an all-you-can-eat buffet. they don't have a website, but i know the owner and her daughter run an animal sanctuary there and i think that has a website.
anyway, just wanted to pass this on to everyone who might be going that way--let's support such an awesome venture! it was really great to find a place like that where i least expected it (and in the middle of a 6-hour drive)! definitely the highlight of the trip. :D
