I bought some Jason's Lavender Deo last weekend, and I have to say, It just doesnt work! Its like I forgot to put on deo altogether :stinkeye: Im really bummed, I think next time I listen to Mikie and get some rock crystal thingies.
Has anyone else found Jason's useful? Or is there another natural brand that works quite well? :-/

I just bought some, with the same results. I love the strong lavender smell when I first put it on, but it doesn't help with my own strong smell at all!!!
Very disappointing...

Heh. I had the same trouble. I'd be a sweaty pig ten minutes after applying it.
I like Kiss My Face Natural deodorant. It actually works.

I know, I love Kiss My Face patchouli deodorant. So why did I buy the Jason this time? Why don't I stick with what works?

I also had the same problem with Jason's deoderant. I used to use the crystals, but one of them gave me a nasty rash (some infection) and I've never been able to completely get rid of it. So...I tried Nature's Gate Spring Fresh deoderant and that seemed to work well on odor. But, my rash flared up big time with it, so I switched to something with Tea tree in it. (Desert Essence - Natural Roll-On Deoderant with Sage and Organic Tea Tree Oil) It works okay as long as you don't have to exert yourself or sit in a warm room. (trust me, I know...I smelled a bit ripe after the Renaissance festival) I have never tried Kiss My Face. What are the ingredients, Charity? I'd love to see if it would work for me and how my rash would react with it. The Desert Essence may not work that well, but I think the tea tree oil may have helped my rash.

The KMF works particularly well if I use it along with a cornstarch and baking soda body powder.

Are you guys talking about the stick or the roll on KMF deoderant?I tried the roll on and it didn't work very well.I have a whole cabinet full of half used deoderants that don't work,Toms of Maine being the worst offender.I will definatly try the KMF stick if that is what you guys are saying works.

Count me in on "nay" for Jason's. I still have a year old deodorant stick in my drawer cause it is just no good.

I've never liked any "natural" deodorant. I'll have to give KMF next time, though.

I've only tried roll-on. I don't remember seeing a stick deodorant at my tiny hfs. I'll have to look more closely next time. I'm always looking for something a little better at keeping me fresh.

The reason most of these natural deodorants don't "work" is simply because they're plain deodorant--they just smell good for a while. They don't have the anti-perspirant/anti-odor properties that conventional deodorants do. I used to use them and couldn't find one that worked for me, so I switched back to the old stuff due do the nature of my work. I'm on my feet all day, going up and down ladders, walking from end to end of the department a lot--it's very active, so I do sweat and having sweaty armpits and smelling bad aren't ok where I work. The customers and my co-workers wouldn't put up with it.
If I didn't have to worry about that, I would go back to my quest in finding the right natural deodorant for me. The Kiss My Face kind sounds good, I haven't tried that one. Maybe the "active enzymes" in it are what make it effective. I'll have to give it a try when I run out of deodorant next time.

I am currently using a JASON deodorant, "Clearly Fresh" or something like that. I was very skeptical about using a deodorant and not an anti-perspirant, but so far I have not gotten stinky. I even have run 10 miles a day and not gotten totally sweaty armpits. I must not sweat that easily.
Even though it seems to work ok for me, I'm not perfectly happy with it, it makes me a little hesitant about its odor protection (maybe I'm just used to my armpit smell, lol). I want something where I can feel totally dry, but not have certain chemicals/animal byproducts in it. Thank god it's only got a few more days left on it, I'll be trying the KMF kind next.

I used Jason's Tea Tree oil deo a while ago. At first it was OK, then I started to smell like greasy, cheesey pizza for some reason...yuck!! so stinky and gross.... But I got some of their Apricot scent las month and I've been happy with it. I think when it runs out I'm going to get some Kiss My Face, tho.
