I'm looking for a good guide to vegan products. I'm in the transition period from Vegetarian to Vegan, and want as much assistance as possible, so anything with a good product list would be helpful.

Hi, and welcome to the board. :)
I'm afraid there's no such thing.
(In england they have the animal free shopper)
I'm afraid you'll have to look on the peta site....and there's us off course.

Yup, 1vegan is right. Anything in particular you were wondering about? Ask away! Otherwise, you'll have to start label reading. :)

The Vegetarian Food Guide and Nutrition Counter
By Suzanne Havala
This book lists common store bought veggie products, and fast food products and marks which ones are vegan, lacto, ovo, or lacto and ovo. It also has a glossery of common ingerdients and says where they really come from.
This book is how I found out like 8 years ago that MCDonald's fries are made with beef flavorings. A fact apparently some people didn't know until the big law-suit a few years back.
This book is available on Borders.com. I am sure there are other simillar books. I know there are books out there on this topic, I used to work at a bookstore in college and I can remember a few that were nothing but ingredients, and where they come from.
If I think of any others I will post them.

I looked on Borders.com and fond these - I haven't read them but they look helpful.
Animal Ingredients A to Z
by E. G. Smith Collective
The Vegan Sourcebook
by Joanne Stepaniak
(this book looks at more ethical stuff, not specifically foods)
And I don't know why no one listed this book, because I see people posting about it all the time -
Becoming Vegan: The Complete Guide to Adopting a Healthy Plant-Based Diet
by Vesanto Melina
Do a search under books for vegan, and you will find quite a lot of helper books.
