I was walking past Hotdog on a Stick today and noticed that they have added veggiedogs-on-a-stick to their lineup. (For those of you who don't know what this place is, they basically make corndogs and cheese dipped in the same batter).

I asked, and the batter does contain dairy.

I have no clue whether they fry the veggie dogs in a separate oil than the original corndogs.

Would you buy this product (if you consume dairy)?
Would you buy it if they made sure to fry the veggiedogs in a separate oil from the original ones?

If it was a separate oil container and I was lacto-vegetarian and hungry, probably. We have to support companies that are making foods for vegetarians
to show them there is a need for it. Plus dieters and Omnis alike love the lowfat and low carlorie aspect of vegetarian foods :) Shannon

If it tasted like a regular hot dog, no. I always thought those were disgusting.

If it were vegan, yes. But since it isn't, I'll just tell my lacto veg husband about it and he'll probably go straight to the mall looking for one.
I think it's great that they offer veggiedogs. It's a big step.

I said no, but only because I have always hated hot dogs, veggie or otherwise. If it was veggie bratwurst on a stick, I'd try it.

Same here. :)
