Why does this year have to be so full of drama.
My roomate(x boyfriend) is moving in a couple of months.
He promised me he would live here for years.
Which means my accomodation is completly disappearing and on my salary (and the price of rent in this country) i am really going to struggle afford anything.
I don't know what to do.
It would mean leaving alot sooner than i want but the idea of living here and knowing no one is not exactly appealing either
On the one hand i don't want to go back.
I'm only just settled in and on on the other i do.
I know that no one but me can make the choice but i'm so sick of making big choices like this.
There has been far too many to make this year and evey choice i make i seem to regret.

Can you find a new roommate?
i can look but i still barely know a soul
and as i said my income won't cover alot of rent even for sharing
even if i do i will have to live in a complete dump
its also difficult knowing i have no real friends in the whole country

Howabout the people whom are employing you, are they not partly responsible for your upkeep or welfare in anyway? ..Surely they would give you some advice or perhaps a tourist/accomodation office of some sort, no??....
Have you been able to communicate your imminent housing crisis to anyone OR is everything left soley to your devices?? :(
Either way at least at a tourist office you may find a willing english speaker to facilitate understanding :elf: ..as I am guessing you know very little chinese, :-/
but then again isn't hongkong full of english and multi-racial/ethnic/cosmopolitan peoples??

Thanks Anaconda.
As for the people who are employing me, well i could move in with the boss's brother and sister like one of the other teachers had done. But she hates it, as would i. Not only is the place a dump but its the boss s brother and sister. Although that does give me a idea, i guess i could talk to the other teacher about moving out together.
I'm afraid so far it has all pretty much been left up to my own devices.
I can look for somewhere to live but on my pay i really can't afford much. Living in a area that i'm slightly scared by and who knows who i would be sharing with. Its just a little daunting since whatever i choice there is no fall back on plan. Not to mention no friends in this country.
I'm thinking quite seriously about moving back to Australia. But then it feels like i am giving up when i've only just settled in. Plus i have no idea what i will do career wise.

Got any updates you have to tell us Bluey?
The obvious or main thing is to make sure your digs are with another woman for safety!...

Blue, I just wanted to wish you the best of luck. I know what it's like to be young and going through turmoil and faced with unpleasant choices.
I don't know about your religious convictions, but have you tried prayer at all? To make a long story short, back in the early days when I was having some health problems (lack of energy), I started to pray. Believe it or not, God led me to change my diet. It totally transformed my life -- both prayer and diet!
I'm not here to convert people, because that sometimes turns them off, and I still want to be your friend. Nor do I care to get involved in any religious debates with anyone. But I just wanted to mention it in case you haven't tried it, and maybe were curious about it. If not, good luck anyway.

I'm not certain where you live, but if it's in the US or Canada, www.roommates.com could be a big help. Maybe do a search? There are lots of people there.
