PETA Puts Cows on Atkins Diet
http://news.unclesharky.com/articles/1142
Imagine that. Cows are eating cows.
For some reason, that didn't make me laugh. Is it just me, or is satire drying up as of late?

That's pretty stupid. And if the public were educated they would know how not funny feeding cow parts to cows really is.

Thought it was rather humorous. It was a good knock on the Atkins Diet and the idea of cannibalistic cows was ridiculous enough to give me a chuckle.

I'm normally a fan of satire, but what makes this one not funny is that other animals are fed their own kind's flesh regularly IRL and that disgusts me enough to ruin any joke about it.

You mean this isnt a joke? But some kind of twisted scheme?
The comments by PeTA are totally out of order... I mean, "we dont dig swines"? Sounds very unlike PeTA to me! I wouldve expected more from them. And as for feeding cows meat, it's just unbelievable coming from PeTA... surely it's some psycho saying he's from PeTA.

This is a joke. Read the page (http://news.unclesharky.com/) more and you'll see.

Uncle Sharkey's at it again... It says on the site "Induldge your secret satire cravings" so I know right there, it's supposed to be a joke. Maybe not the best joke in the world, but the US Press is nothing but satire and broad comedy and really should be taken as such. There are no cows on Atkins and there are no psycho vegetarians giving cows beef to chow on.
I'm with plantseeder. It was a great knock to Atkins and the meat-eaters.

Thank goodness it is a joke. I was begining to feel the good old temper rising. I find it humorous-now. :)

Of course it's a joke. That's what causes mad cow disease.

I agree
Feeding cows to cows was a standard agricultural practice until the mid/late 90s...I forget the year.
BTW: pigs, chickens, cats, dogs and other animals are still fed to cows.
I recommend reading Howard Lyman's Mad Cowboy.
