View Full Version : Cuphea Rosea plants?

Hi guys! I'm hoping that somebody can help me out...

I have two cuphea rosea plants that I bought from different stores. All of a sudden, one died 2 weeks ago, and my other one is dying right now. I don't understand why. All my other plants are still fine.

Could the ash (we got quite a bit of it here) from the recent fires in California have killed them? I'm just wondering why its just these two. Are they extra senstive or something? I thought these were supposed to be really hardy plants so I'm a little confused.

Sorry Captain, I've never had this plant and I couldn't find any good info on it...but I'll let you know if I do find something.

Well ash makes the soil more alkaline and roses generally thrive in acid soil... So theoretically, it could have to do something with the fires.

But I too don't know anything specific about those plants...
